I consider Vroom a very untrustworthy company. mileage was not consistent with other paperwork. They ran my credit unlawfully without my permission. I did not give them permission to keep running with several loan institutes. Don't use them. didn't purchase anything, because I became suspicious after seeing the discrepencies in the mileage. Now I find out that ran my credit with more than one loan institution which could harm my credit score. Rep. told me she was going to run it with a particular L I but she lied. She also told me to I could contact her anytime. and that was a lie. Every time I called it seemed as though I was always talking to someone in a "third word country" because of the language barrier. Not making fun> Because they were nice - except for one person who hung up on me. I wished I could warn the world about them. So, they won't make the mistake I almost made. It cost me $249, but that was my choice from them to hold the vehicle. I just glad I woke up before I invested thousands. I can't help but wonder if Vroom paid those people who gave good reviews. My main concern is my credit score being lowered by dealing with these crooks. Shame on them!!!

I purchased a 2016 Honda Civic from Vroom in Jan 2022. The car came with a 7 day return/refund window, a 90 day/6000 mile dealer warranty & I purchased an extended warranty w/ roadside assistance. I told the salesman that I'm a single mom of a baby and that I work from home so I don't drive a lot. He assured me that this was a very safe vehicle and that a top to bottom inspection of the car would take place before they sent it to me. 4 months later and I've put 1,000 miles on the car, but recently my son and I traveled to visit family, a 200 mile round trip.  While driving the interstate highway I heard scraping sounds with every bump on the road. I pulled over to find that a bungee cord had been used to re-attach the metal shield under the cars engine and part of that shield was touching the ground. I did my best to pull the piece of metal up and continued driving but soon heard the noise again. I pulled over for a 2nd time and found the piece of metal on the ground so I put it in the trunk and continued on. Next, the low oil warning light came on the dashboard. I was afraid to push our luck and make a 3rd stop on the busy interstate, luckily a rest area was close by. There, I found oil pouring out under the car. 2 tow trucks, $500, and close to 7 hours stranded with my almost 2 year old son, we finally got home at midnight that Saturday. On Monday morning I had the car towed to a Honda service center which of course roadside assistance didn't fully cover the cost of either. Honda advised that the leak was caused by an improperly fastened cap after the last oil change was done (by Vroom). The warranty company won't cover any costs because there's no mechanical breakdown and Vroom says they won't help either because it's outside of the 7 and 90 day warranty windows. Vrooms gross negligence put my baby and I in danger, racked up near $1,000 in debt and left us without our car because I can't afford to pay Honda right now after everything else. I have called many times, speaking with different people each time but I keep getting the same response: Vroom completely refuses to take any responsibility.

When I was shopping for a car, I wanted to do it easy and smooth and avoid a dealership, with a baby and toddler it can be hard which is why I wanted to purchase online, I wish I can go back. Vroom has been a nightmare. I started my car purchase since Nov, I got the car late in Jan and that's the start of it. I have been calling them since jan and they still can't fix the insurance and registration issue. I have been to DMV and Fedex, I have tried everything to fix the issues, they have been asking for original docs for DMV which I have shipped to Fedex in Feb. I have been calling for weeks and just keep getting temp tags, I have been having issues for half a year!!! Normally people enjoy their new ride! and I can tell you I haven't had time to enjoy my new car. This is the WORST company I have ever worked with and I wish I can just return everything. Just horrible experience and my family is not enjoying this car for those reasons.

Worst car buying experience i have ever had, i bought a car from them 6 months ago and i wanted to make sure i waited till now to leave a review, the process of buying my car was absolute torture it took me months to even get in contact with someone who knew how to help me, and even then there most helpful person knew little to nothing. Once the car arrived at my house after many many delays and forgotten paper work from Vroom. The car showed up absolutely filthy (my car of 10 years which was never washed was cleaner than my brand new car) and the tires where completely flat and the did not have proper windshield wipers installed. So not only was the car disgustingly dirty it wasn't equipped with the proper safety gear, which included broken windshield blades, flat tires, overly corroded battery and of course many exterior and interior scratches that were not shown in there photos online. This company is an absolute joke, you are better of going anywhere else.

Please read in entirety if you are thinking of purchasing from Vroom I wrote a review a while back about the frustrations I was experiencing, but now that the entire purchasing process is complete I thought I would write a complete review covering the entire process I experienced. To begin with, the process of finding and buying the car was not bad. The sales rep. Jennifer Molyneux worked with me and she was fantastic! I was even surprised that getting all the paperwork done online and through the mail wasn't really that bad of an experience! The car was delivered promptly and I really like the entire week you get to drive it and test it out while still being able to send it back if it isn't right. Everything with the car was great though and then the nightmare of registration began... The car was delivered the first week in January 2022 and I did not get my car registered until May 06.... Pretty pathetic. Vroom initially sent 60 temp tags with the car and their website said the registration process would take from 3-6 weeks, so I waited. I sent them the out-of-state VIN inspection from the Ohio BMV and they told me it was up to them now to get registration completed. I waited until the 60 day tags expired. It was easy enough to get new temp tags from Vroom, but I began to inquire as to why the process was taking so long and if there was anything they needed me to do. The service representatives would never tell me much except that they would send in a request for me. My call logs showed that I called in over a dozen times from February through April to either get new temp tags or inquire about the registration process. The service reps told me several times "they would reach out to a "specialist" and I would receive a call within 24-48 hours". This NEVER happened. I never received a call, and only got an email one time (2 weeks later) that said something to the effect of "There was nothing for me to do and I just need to keep waiting." Finally at the end of April my 3rd set of temp tags was expiring and I was fed up so I had to keep calling and calling for several days, multiple times a day and demanding they put me through to a registration supervisor and finally after a couple days someone called me. (This is also when I left the prior review and Vroom responded and said they want to get things straightened out and asked for my contact info. I gave them my number and email but never heard from anyone in response to that either) The supervisor basically told me that the initial VIN inspection that I did back in January expired (they expire after 30 days) and so the registration process was put on hold. There are several things that this implies: 1: They didn't get things done in time before the inspection expired 2. No one bothered to reach out to me when that happened and tell me. Remember that I specifically asked many times if there was anything I could do, and was always told "no". This turned out to be a lie. I asked the specialist to just get the documents necessary sent to me and I will register it myself. They did that and sent me the appropriate funds to cover the fees and sales tax that I already paid in the initial contract. So, in summary, I waited 4 months for registration to get completed and sent to me just to find out that literally no progress was being made on it and no one told me anything about it, even when I asked over a dozen times. This is extremely poor customer service and something is very wrong with the way some things are structured with the company's communication. I would advise anyone who values good customer service and an overall pleasant buying experience to NOT use Vroom. And I would advise Vroom to take these complaints into consideration and make changes because I am not the only one, just read that other reviews.

Just for the public, Vroom responds to all these complaints to look good but never actually does anything. I replied privately and gave them my contact info like they asked and never heard ANYTHING.
