Not a happy customer
Very little communication. If I wanted to find out anything, I would have to call. Picked the car up and new warning lights were showing. Had further issues and felt very disrespected when I questioned their findings. I am not sure I trust them enough to take my car back in.
I will be a repeat customer
I am visiting in St Louis and needed my 130K service. I called Suntrup West County Volvo and spoke with Greg in Service. When I arrived, he was accurate on him estimated time and came in just under quoted cost. Thank you!

My recent service experience was an undiagnosed problem, but my mechanic, Dan, quickly diagnosed and repaired it within one day. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Volvo in the ten years I have owned my car.

Tom Calkins and the entire team are excellent. Tom, in particular, has been amazing in the purchase of our 3 Volvos since 2019. Tom is caring, helpful, responsive, and very knowledgeable. Smooth purchase process and great vehicles.

Excited with my 2022 XC40 Recharge! Tom Calkins made the process so easy. He guided me through and kept me informed about the delivery. Everyone was very helpful. I'm looking forward to being part of the Volvo family.

We have bought 2 cars through West county Volvo. Sales was great. The service department is atrocious. We bought a 2017 Volvo with 7k miles in 2019. It has been back for service 4 times. 3 scheduled maintenance and 1 warranty service. Joe has been seemingly unpleasant every time I've spoken with him in person and over the phone. The first service was fine, although it took nearly 3 hours for an oil change. 2nd service was about the same. Warranty service was for a peeling dash and random spots on the screen not working. Joe tried to tell me it wasn't that bad and didn't need replaced. After convincing him it did, we scheduled it and I let him know we would need a loaner as we live 2 hours away. Joe said that's not possible because they don't want their loaners getting that many miles, but finally agrees. I get there for the warranty work and they have no Volvo loaners and enterprise doesn't know when they will have one for them. I wait multiple hours before I am able to get a car nowhere comparable to the s90 that was in for work. Last service was on 11/30/21. Called and scheduled the appointment a month out. Joe said this service is a scheduled free maintenance. I get there at 9. Joe is busy and I get to work with Harris. I was fine with this as Joe hasn't been great the previous 3 times. Harris informed me the service is not free and the charges would be nearly 700. He let's me know due to our Cars low mileage I could just do the oil change and do the rest at a later date. They were also supposed to figure out why the start stop wasn't working. Harris informed me it was the battery and would be replaced under warranty. Fast forward 2 hours later the oil change is done. I go to pay and the bill is $457.00. The cashier informs me the battery is not under warranty and goes and gets Harris. Harris says let me see if I can get a little taken off of the bill. I let him know that isn't an option as you said this $300 battery was a warranty replacement. He says, " So do you want me to just take it back out?" I said if that is what you need to do then yes and I will replace it on my own. ( this is a sub $100 battery). He lets me know this is not a normal battery and is hard to replace as it is tucked back by the firewall. I let him know I could handle it. They proceed to pull the car back in and swap batteries in a matter of about 5 minutes. This battery can be replaced simply by removing 2 bolts and done in under 3 minutes... Not hard to do even if you have literally never turned a wrench in your life. So I get there thinking I have to pay nothing. Then $150 for an oil change, whatever no biggie, and then $450 for a battery that they said was warrantied. Nah keep your battery and your bad service. Needless to say we will not be recommending them or buying anything else due to the compete lack of customer service in the service department.

Best Volvo agent
Tom Calkins is exemplary to work with when leasing a Volvo SUV!!! We got the vehicle we wanted at a fair price. He treats you like a part of his family.

Heading home to east coast on cross country road trip, 100 miles from St. Louis my Volvo started whining. Called Volvo Cars West County St Louis and they said if we get there before 4p they’ll be there to look at it. When we got there, Service Advisor Joe Strosnider opened the hood and within 30 seconds identified the problem. 7:30 next morning they fixed the problem and Joe researched our maintenance record, called the Volvo rep, and said there would be no charge. Joe went above and beyond—thanks Joe. Best service experience I’ve had!
