I have been bringing my Grand Cherokee to Elgin CDJR for 3 years. When I had brought the car in back in April, that service visit started out poorly. I brought the car in for repairs. Throughout the day, I tried calling to check on the status of my car.....and it's repairs... can't get the phone answered per service after repeated attempts. Voicemails left, but they were also ignored. I had also been provided a text that I could communicate with, to obtain updates with the service writer that goes unanswered. Finally, I drove to the dealership to see if I could pick up the car. Upon arrival, I learned that the service writer made the decision not to have any repairs started today . Unsure why he thought it was alright to make the decision to delay starting the work without asking me. When I questioned him, he had no answers. He couldn't explain why I had not been kept updated all day. Matt, who no longer works at the dealership intervened and assisted me moving forward. Most recently, I took the car back in. When I took it in, I explained what was happening, including the noise I heard from under the car-left side ,as well as the sensors for tire air pressure were coming on the dash. They are normally hidden. The service writer called the next day to tell me they can't recreate the noise I referenced. Instead, I'm told I need bushings, strut replacement and replacement of a control arm . They replaced parts these when they had obviously had no clue what or where the noise was coming from. I went into the dealership because repair parts were delayed in getting sent out due to the "supply chain". I needed to know when my car might be ready for pickup. I was concerned I can not get my calls picked up by service department again. I met in person with the service manager Ray, and he worked with me on some labor charges and gave me repair timelines. I had planned on taking the car out of the Jeep dealership and moving it to another repair shop, but work had already been started, just not finished. 2 weeks later, I picked up the car . The thought crossed my mind that once I got back in the car, the noise would still be there. At the time I picked up the car I met again with Ray and was joined by Josh, both service managers. They apologized for what had transpired this service visit. They indicated there were internal issues in service that they are working on. They asked me to give the dealership another chance. I left with my car and the noise is still there. I drove back into service. Ray the service manager met me asked me “what was wrong”. I told him the noise is still present. He rode with me in the vehicle in the parking lot. He confirmed he "heard" the noise. He told me the noise is related to the age, mileage and wear of the car frame. How stupid do you think I am, or is this the line you give a woman who questions work performed??? RIDICULOUS! I took the Jeep to another repair facility. THEY LISTENED. Had Elgin CDJR looked at my concerns, and checked them, they would have seen the left rear tire pressure sensor had broke off, making the noise. All of the sensors had to be recalibrated and left rear sensor replaced. ...explaining why the gauges on the dash were showing low tire pressures. A $65.00 fix. Please explain if CDJR makes a practice of guessing on what repairs are needed, when they have no clue as to what they are doing, charging thousands of dollars. After I had the care repaired, I left a voicemail for Ray that has fallen on deaf ears. I did speak with Josh who told me Ray is out of the office today. I told him I left a message two days ago and Ray has not returned my call. Josh also reiterated there are problems at the dealership that they are working on.......Not My Problem.. Be careful taking your car there for service. The days of being able to trust this dealers service department are gone.

After several phone invitation and email from this guys, I ended up visiting the show room, and test drove a gladiator yesterday Tuesday 9/27. I got to work with Alex Q. When we got down to work the numbers, he called his sales manager Paul. Paul was a deal maker and wanted to close the deal that evening. but I did not have the trade in vehicle with me and the title. So I said I will be in tomorrow, that’s today 9/28. Last night Paul’s offer was based on $4500 trade in, I will add cash out of pocket $5500. Total of $10,000 towards the lease. My monthly will be $350 x 39 months. He keeps repeating the numbers, asking me if beer or wine will help me decide. Next day I called Alex several times to make sure he is in already as he said he is 1-9pm I even confirmed that again today at 430pm when I arrived at the dealership if the price is still good, Alex have it written at the back of his notes $350 x 39 months. Alex even made me sign on the sales offer to confirm my intentions. Also saying that I will only make 38 payments as the first payment is already included. 10 minutes later he came out of the booth. And changed his story, now the monthly is at $800 plus. And that I will have to come up $500 plus to lease the vehicle. I have never experienced such deceitfully dealings like this. I drove 30 plus miles round trip 4 times yesterday and today. they wasted my time.

This is by far the worst service department I have ever experienced. They never answer the phone. Never update you on your vehicle repair status. In fact I had to call from a blocked number to get them to answer so they didn’t know it was me. They had our vehicle for 2 months just to get some minor things repaired after we purchased it from them. This place is a joke and I wouldn’t go there if I lived across the street and they paid me.

Few things: store was clean and I didn't wait to much, lobby is great with good snack offerings, negotiation process was reasonable without major pressure. Cesar, the sales person, that helped us was great overall.

Joe was great! He greeted me at the Service Entrance, grabbed the keys, and took care of everything. He kept me informed every step of the way and got me back on the road fast! Great experience overall. Can't say enough good things about their Service Dept!

would advise everyone not to purchase from this dealer! I have contacted this dealership in regards to Jeep Grand Cherokee 2022, which they have listed for $39,860. After confirming with two representatives that the car is there, I drove to the dealership and met with Jesus. Jesus told me that the car is currently being serviced at the bodyshop. I requested to speak to the manager and was introduced to Paul. Paul explained that the car will be available within a couple of days and that I will have “a first shot at it”. After about two weeks of going back and forth, Jesus decided to call me to tell me that the car is still available as well as that I can come in. I asked him to confirm that the price is accurate. He said that he will confirm with the manager and get back to me as soon as possible. Shortly after, of the managers named Jeason, have contacted me and told me that the price of the car is inaccurate as well as that the car is now priced at ~ $46000 since they had to “put some money in the car”. I explained to him that the car was listed for $39860 as well as that Paul confirmed that this price will be honored once the car was available. Jeason stated that the lowest he can do is $41,600 for a car “new” car whose bumper had been repainted. Please save yourself time and money by avoiding this place!

Refused service to pregnant woman

The worst service ever!! I’m literally 8 1/2 months pregnant and dealing with bs from the sales manager. First thing, they ordered the wrong style seating. I needed and ordered a bench but for some reason we received a Grand Cherokee L 3rd row with a center console NOT a bench. Then when trying to order the CORRECT vehicle, the sales manager SEAN refused!! He isn’t on the website yet which is I’m sure a good thing for him and his horrible service. Even trying to order under my name and not my husband, they refused! They just didn’t want our money. So many other things were wrong with the whole process I don’t even know where to begin. Once I gather my thoughts after what I just went through, literally yesterday evening, I’ll upload text messages, dates/times, and all details pertaining to this nightmare. SEAN I hope you read this and understand that you cannot treat customers, let alone people this way. I’m absolutely livid. Thank you Elgin Chrysler Jeep Dodge for refusing service to a pregnant woman and wasting my time and your sales teams time.
