Save Yourselves the Headache

I would save yourselves the headache of dealing with Drive N Motion. The “experienced” car salesman will come out and greet you and after evaluating if you’re a good candidate to buy will send out the kids to deal with you if he feels you’re not a good candidate to buy. Before purchasing the vehicle I asked if the oil was changed and was assured they do oil changes on all their cars. They didn’t have documentation to show nor updated the maintenance tracker on the 4runner along with taking out the previous owners oil change sticker which stated it needed to be done within 300 miles. Within two days of owning it, I took in the vehicle to confirm it wasn’t done. Aside from buying the car with 13 miles to empty, and arguing with them to give me half a tank the rest of the deal was fine. The last note is after purchasing your car from them they will only provide one key as they keep the fob key offsite. I’ve now contacted the salesman twice and waited over 3 weeks to receive my key. The salesman now doesn’t respond to his phone.

Mr. Elbert: Thanks for taking the time to voice your opinion. I partnered with the manager on duty on 12/13 as well as the specialist who assisted you. I am aware that they informed you that the oil level was on 4 and that we are not a service center so we do not place oil change reminder stickers on the windshield. I am also aware that they put some fuel in the vehicle after you complained. And your second key was mailed already; so sorry that our clerk in that department was out with COVID and couldn't jump on your request. What does not sit well with me is your comment about our staff. All of our staff are experienced, and we always try to have a manager greet you when you arrive and then allow our consultants to work with you to identify a solution for you. Then the deal gets desked by our manager to obtain the best rate, terms and protection coverage for you. We don't step into your place of employment and criticize your staff so there's no need to do it in ours. - James Waitt - GM
