I do not recommend.
I bought this car used in 2019. Over the few years that I’ve had it I’ve had nothing but problems. Rear main seal, the manifold, now the fuel pump and the list goes on. Sad that not long after warranty expires all these problems occurred. Next time I will be more careful when buying a used car. I would not recommend buying this year of the Equinox. I even tried communicating with GM about the problems and they would not even help. Not sure if the other years are as bad as this one.
Goes through oil bad and there are no leaks
If it weren't for it using oil like gasoline, this would be a wonderful car. I have to put in at least 6 qts of oil between oil changes. I have to continuously check oil. I'm 67 didn't know I was going to have to be checking my oil like that all the time. I thought it would let me know if it was getting low. How can I get this taken care of by the manufacturer because apparently it's a screw up on their end.
2014 Chevy Equinox trauma
Apparently there’s an issue with the oil gauge. You cannot depend on the regular oil changes and the gauge because it will run dry and kill your transmission this happened to my car and another car I know.
