Can not recommend
I can not recommend this dealership. I purchased a 2015 Chevy Silverado in November and experienced issues on the drive home. Just over half way home the check engine light began flashing. I called Walser shortly after and they were no help. They stated without a complete warranty there is nothing they can do. After taking my newly bought truck to several technicians they recommended a variety of solutions. I have sunk over 1,500 dollars into a truck that was just purchased. Walser refused to take any of the responsibility. I was sold a vehicle that they knew had problems. The solution that my most trusted independent technician came to was a new torque converter, which is covered under my 3,000 mile 3 month warranty. 2014-2018 Silverados are notorious for failing torque converters. Rather than replace the torque converter Walser recommended spark plugs, injectors, and a carbon clean out. However, I had just replaced the spark plugs not even a month earlier. Additionally, a video provided by one of the technicians stated the injectors flowed properly. Alas, I agreed to have the injectors put in to see if that would help with the issue. Prior to bringing my vehicle to Walser the transmission fluid was slightly dark (can be seen on a video provided by a Walser tech and attested to by my independent tech.).After picking up my vehicle after service the fluid was brand new. Walser decided to flush out my transmission without informing me to suppress the issue until my warranty was expired. This is the worst experience I have had purchasing a vehicle and I will never get another vehicle from them. I will also advise others to never consider Walser.
Great Place to Buy a Used Vehicle
We were in a panic when my daughter's car broke on a cold blustery day in Minnesota. We worked with Kyle Schlicht in used car sales. He was great to work with. we explained our urgency, the price and the need for a quality preowned car. Kyle did his absolute best in meeting all the needs, we had the car checked out with an independent service facility, they gave us two thumbs up on the quality of the vehicle. They did indicate however that this model of vehicle has a history of transmission failure at its current age and mileage. I have to say that my heart sank when I heard this--everything else about the vehicle was great. when I called and discussed this Polar, they pulled up the maintenance history and informed us the vehicle had a new transmission installed by Polar and it had less than 100 miles on it. Great to know that Polar had just put a $7,200 transmission in the vehicle. We closed the purchase within hours. Start to finish we were in and out with a car in less than 24 hours. I want to thank Kyle and his manager Zach and the rest of the team at Polar for kicking everything through so quickly for us and putting my daughter in a great vehicle. I recommend these friendly and helpful sales folks and their quality user vehicles. D.A. Hugo, Minnesota
