Easy car buying experience

I never considered buying a car online without first checking it out in person so it was a leap of faith. I'm glad I did. It was such an easy transaction from choosing my vehicle to getting it delivered to my door.

Falsely Advertise Features! Avoid!

This is my fourth car to purchase through vroom. Not sure what has changed in the past few years, but do not expect to receive a car in the listed condition. I purchased a truck that was priced to include premium options (leather and sound). Truck had neither. The state that you can give the car back but will have to pay to ship both the car you received and the one you sold! $1400! I will never purchase from them again

Legitimately easy

It can be terrifying to buy a car online. I recently used Vroom to purchase a car and found the process extremely easy and pretty much exactly what they describe on the site. The car came as described. There was a little hiccup regarding the delivery date—but Dan Kim in the Seattle delivery center worked hard to keep me up to date. I was worried when I started this process with Vroom but I’m happy!

Don’t use vroom!!! You have been warned!! I can assure you not to use vroom!!!! Total worst experience in my who life. This place is a joke

I purchased a vehicle from Vroom in October 2020 with a temporary/buyer’s tag (from TX), no license plate. Vroom stated that I would receive a permanent plate and tags in the mail. I never received them and have since received 3 additional temporary tags (all TX), no plates. My last set of temporary tags expired on 03/07/21. Today is 03/24/21. Vroom states that I cannot receive any more temporary tags, as 3 is the max. I bought this vehicle from Vroom to use as legal and reliable transportation to and from work. Vroom has wasted countless hours of my time on the phone and has lied to me on nearly every occasion about which stage we are in, what I could expect moving forward, and when I would be contacted next. Vroom has left me with a monthly bill for a vehicle that I cannot legally drive, and more than a little heartburn over the whole matter. I have asked Vroom for a rental, or additional temporary plates, or any other solution to resolve their contractual obligation to me the customer, on the vehicle that I have faithfully paid on since purchase 10/2020. They never seek to resolve my problem, all that ever happens is I that am shined on for another week or two. As far as I can tell Vroom is an illegal business operating under pretenses to defraud the public. I consider Vroom a danger to consumers everywhere, and I strongly advise future buyers (and sellers) to steer clear. I would surely join a class action suit against this criminal enterprise "Vroom", should anyone ask for my participation. I have submitted formal complaints to the BBB and the Texas DMV. Texas DMV states that the vehicle cannot be registered there since I live in Washington. They state that Vroom needs to send me the title. I have informed Vroom but have yet to hear back. Don't do it! READ- I could bore you with my nightmare story but there are plenty of those to go around. Let me just leave you with this. BBB status revoked with an F rating, 714 complaints filed in the last 3 years, a red warning message about Vroom, a 1.2 Star rating and also the same story on consumer affairs website. Would you go to your local dealer if this was the case? Remember, these aren't the average upset people who don't do anything these are people who are so upset they filed a BBB complaint. Now imagine not being able to go face to face with anyone (like you could at a dealership) when things go absolutely sideways and judging by their reputation it is likely to happen. No instead, you have to call and get shuffled around to different "departments", get lied to, put on hold, talked down to, hung up on, by a multitude of inept people. The worst, most useless "customer service" and the most inefficient business process I have ever encountered. Be warned!

AVOID!!!! Save yourself the time and money

Save yourself the time, money and energy. I am completely baffled that a huge company such as this, dealing with major purchases can be so completely inept of literally anything to do with the car buying/selling process. Where to begin. Long story I DID NOT end up buying from Vroom, I am currently STILL WAITING for my deposit and down payment to be refunded. I paid a huge down payment (wired money) and initiated my loan from my bank for the rest of the money immediately after going under contract and......nothing! No confirmation, no email, no time line given. I called my bank where I had my loan sent over from and 6 days after I had sent Vroom the loan documents they still hadn’t signed them to initiate my car buying process! Yet they received my large down payment. Ever since then, I’ve talked to about 20 representative (spent hours and hours on the phone) only to be told a different story EVERY SINGLE time I call them, being told “I don’t see your wire transfer” or “let me put you on hold” and I would hold for 40 min only to be disconnected MULTIPLE times. I am appalled that such a huge purchase like this is handle by the most unintelligent people who know nothing about cars or the buying process. I had to explain to almost every rep how a loan works and why I’m concerned that no one knows nothing about what’s going on, on their end. To conclude, I called and said I want out. I don’t want to even wait for possible months for my car since this company seems fraudulent from the get go. Now PLEASE SEND ME MY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS BACK AND I WON’T report you or get lawyers involved. THANKS! Save your energy people!!!!!

I attempted to purchase a vehicle and was told it would take 14 days to receive delivery of the car. After committing to the car, it took 5 days for the electronic paperwork to arrive, then the salesperson I was in communication with went and refused to answer any of my calls or texts. Then the financing paperwork was delivered to the wrong address. Long story short, I canceled the car. It was a train wreck and I do not think I would attempt to buy a car from an online "delivery" dealer again. I am still looking for a car similar to the one I attempted to purchase.

Nothing but great things from Vroom: no-haggling-needed prices, patient and helpful staff, and a fair delivery price. I even told my sales rep. that I'd recommend Vroom to all my friends in need of new or used cars.

I sent a question to Vroom about a vehicle on July 6th. It is July 8th and I still have not received any response. If their response pre-sales is this slow, I can not image how poor it must be after purchase. I can not see myself buying from Vroom (which is unfortunate because they along had the model/year/color/milage I was looking for)
