They’ll never delivery your car

by Dissatisfied Customer on Aug 07, 2020

I purchased a vehicle through Vroom nearly a full month ago, and yet they still haven’t delivered the vehicle. I paid IN FULL right up front because they force you to do so, but then when it comes time for them to deliver they will keep delaying by saying “it’s still being prepped” for weeks! It got to the point where I had to cancel the purchase and get a refund because I highly suspect this is a fraudulent company and the listing was a scam. I am currently seeking legal advice because of their questionable business practices. Steer clear of this place at all costs!

Vroom is a scam

by oluseye o on May 15, 2020

This is one of the worst experiences I have had purchasing a car. I made the payment for the car on April 11th. The delivery team, as they call it, got the money on April 13th. Grant it, there is a disclaimer that 10-14 days to deliver the car. I got an email saying the car was going to be delivered on April 25th. Then things took a wrong turn, on April 24th, I got an email saying how was my delivery? So I called Vroom, the salesperson said it was an error email. Then when she checked, she said the car's new estimated date of delivery is going to be May 2nd due to the pandemic. I said I understand due to all that's going on. On April 28th, I received an email again asking how likely would I recommend Vroom to others. I called up, and again I was told that the survey email was an error. At that point, flags went up. I asked the salesperson what exactly was going on. The response was she had no idea. She said she was going to do all she can, she read the notes and said the car was estimated to be delivered on May 14th. They are trying to get in contact with the driver and logistics team. Only to find out the car was not scheduled for pickup by the driver until May 6th. Be mindful, the car note which is my credit is due May 5th. All in all, May 6th came and I had to fight tooth and nail to get a response that the car was picked up on that day and that the delivery date still remains May 14th. I escalated the matter to a manager, who stated the car will be delivered on May 12 according to the driver. Low and behold, on May 12th, I called since no one or the driver called me for delivery. I got heartbreaking news, the car's new estimated date of delivery is now May 15th. As we speak, I have yet to get a definite answer on the whereabouts of the car. A supervisor called me on May 12th and stated the delivery date is still May 14th, however, in an email he wrote the estimated date of delivery is May 15th. On May 15th, they called me early in the morning, the driver is delivering the car to you today, we apologize for the delay. When I did decide to call back around noon of May 15, the story changed. I am not going to get the car until Monday May 18. The line used was "The driver has went over its driving hours for the week and needs to take a 48 hours break" VROOM IS A SCAM!!!!!!

Vroom - Online shopping

by Cosmo on Apr 03, 2020

I was in the market for a used vehicle and saw one listed in their site. Their pricing is great but you need to know that what you are getting is a used car and very different from a certified or from a reputable dealer. When I call and set-up an appointment to find out about a car I was interested in the Vroom representative did really have no idea about the car. They are basically reading from a description as you see from the site. If asked for more pictures you will not get it. Of course they will tell you the car has been inspected and pass their 'seal' of approval. If you do decide to get the car the 7 day trial no hassle return policy does not come without a catch. yes, they will definitely pick-up the car and return your money but the shipping fee is not refunded. So you will lose out on some cash. Anyway Vroom maybe for some but not for me. If you are in the market for a used car that is on a high-end make sure you know what you are getting into with on-line dealership.

Worst experience ever buying a car

by Dawn M Christie on Oct 16, 2019

Purchased my car on September 21st and still do not have delivery of the car. Customer Service with Vroom has not been helpful; giving me the same standard answers. "They do not have an update as to when I will receive my car". They have not been transparent about the delays with my car either. I read all the reviews before purchasing and was very excited to purchase a car with VROOM; however - nothing about my experience has been exciting - or easy. WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!
