Belinda was amazing!
Belinda was amazing. She answered every question we had and then some. She made us feel comfortable and didn't pressure us at all. It was truly the best car-buying experience I have ever had.
Purchased used car
Requested information via internet about used car Received information through text by a salesman seemed nice and informative. Came to drive car liked and to make a long story short came to a deal for purchase all the time the salesman tried to tell me that someone else was interested even went so far while we were in the sales cubicle to have someone get the keys. I hate that kind of sales tactic so I left and s told salesman that if the other interested party did not purchase car to contact me. Before we got home we had settled again on a price and I have my own financing and my finance people will contact him Monday Again to make a long story short, I told my salesman that I would pick up car Wednesday suddenly he had a vacation planned and I had to deal with another salesman that apparently new nothing about my intent to purchase and treated me like I was a second class citizen I had some trouble with communication with my finance company and the new salesman treated them badly as well I almost walked away 2-3 times but I really liked the vehicle and have been looking for it for so long and my boyfriend smoothed it over for me so I didn’t completely loose it Overall I think that if you are not buying a $40,000 vehicle at Volvo of Winston-Salem you are not treated well
Our Product Specialist exceeded our expectations! She delivered our car on time and was very thorough in explaining the controls after the paperwork was completed. She has been available to us to answers additional questions over the phone after we put our car into service.
Won't Do What They Promise & What You Paid For
I was incredibly displeased and disappointed with my first real experience with Volvo Winston-Salem since the purchase of my new car. To be clear, my service writer was very courteous and kept me informed throughout the process. The issue I have is that I was sold a wheel and tire protection plan that, when I needed to use it because two of the wheels were bent, the coverage was not honored. I spoke to the General Manager, who said that the coverage does not cover accidents. Well, the vehicle was not IN an accident. He just made that up. There was damage to the right side rocker panel from a low speed incident in a parking lot with the corner of a railroad tie. The tie, nor anything else came into contact with the wheels. It was a non-event for the car, save that rocker panel. When I explained this to him and explained that the car was driven daily for four weeks on a road that was torn up for resurfacing, covered in pot holes, with abrupt transitions where the work ended and that THIS was very likely the cause of the damage, he called my integrity into question. He said he had no way of knowing if that was true, so he assumed the damage was caused by the same incident that caused the rocker panel damage. "Then why are the wheels on the same side as the damage the ones that are bent," he asked. In truth, they were NOT the only ones that were bent. That is just short of calling me a liar and an absolutely HORRIBLE way of developing a relationship with a new customer. I feel I was sold a bill of goods on this tire and wheel package. When I bought the car, I asked about what was covered, knowing how fragile aluminum wheels could be, and I was assured that road damage was covered. I feel like Volvo Winston-Salem has stolen my money. I took a risk on Volvo as I've owned BMWs for the past number of years and been quite satisfied. Those vehicles have always seen the dealer; for service, maintenance, and aftermarket parts. The car that this Volvo replaced was my daily driver and I spent many thousands of dollars with that dealership over my history with the car. I could have gone somewhere else, particularly once the car was out of warranty, but I did not because they always offered me excellent service, they worked with me on "problems" like the above example, they always had a loaner for me, they never tried to take advantage of me, and they certainly never called my integrity into question. So, here was my first opportunity to be won over by Volvo Winston-Salem and the experience has made me feel like I've made a terrible terrible mistake in even purchasing the car. For the sake of about $1,500 in wheels, Volvo Winston-Salem has chosen to spoil what could have been a very lucrative relationship. The Manager with whom I spoke said, "It's not personal, it's a business decision." Save a couple of hundred bucks for the potential of thousands more? He could probably use a lesson in business decisions.
Volvo of WS NC Staff was very helpful. No Pressure. They were Awesome in there process. I loved the Red Carpet!!! When you treat People Good, and with Respect, and provide Great Service you will get what you Deserve. The Customer will never forget you!!!
Ignored the problem and sent us away
When my wife brought the car in and said a front tire was losing air, she was sent away because the TPS light was not on. The reason the light wasn't on was because she had just put air in. They refused to look at the tire and sent her away. She also said their comments made her feel stupid. A week later after returning from vacation, the tire was completely flat. When we took it this time and they actually looked at it, they noticed a cracked wheel. Had they serviced the car when first requested we would have been happy. The refusal to even look at the car is unacceptable. We will not be returning to this location.
Good service, inadequate communications
My primary reason for visit was for North Carolina State Annual inspection. Subsequent to my 2 hour drive to Winston, this item was not completed. Other items needed attention: tires, brakes, software update which were completed.
Personal service, no high pressure sales pitch, Thomas is a very knowledgeable sales person, asked what I was looking for and provided exactly what I asked for, no attempt at add ons I didn't want. As a senior citizen I've purchased a lot of cars over the years, Volvo's for the last 25 years, and this was the best experience I ever had. The only other similar experience was also a Volvo dealer, Farrell Motors of Southboro, MA. The owner has since retired and sold the business.
Retired lab manager
Great experience with a friendly professional group!! Belinda, my sales representative clearly explained all the features of this beautiful car and invited me to return any time I could for additional information and answer questions. She was such a pleasure to work with.
poor customer service
New xc60 delivered to Volvo Cars of WS. When my wife brought it in for service she was told she had to wait at the dealer without a loaner after they initially had offered her one thus altering her workday at the last minute. Tire pressure monitor light on and VCWS turns it off finding no problem with tires. 2 days later TPM light on again and nail is removed/tire plugged at local tire dealer. Despite repeated service at recommended intervals at this dealer and requests to have tires rotated as needed the only comment on service paper work was "light tire wear." At 39k oil change Jiffy Lube detects severe irregular wear along the inner aspect of multiple tires and recommends return to Volvo for possible warranty issue. VCWS is dismissive and denies making any errors. The next day all four tires replaced and camber/alignment appropriately repaired at Greensboro Volvo with excellent customer service. No reason for us to decline service on a fleet car as it is covered by fleet company. These guys have poor customer service and poor tire expertise.
