Body shop may damage your vehicle
Took xc60 for front fender repair. Upon pickup, noted gouge on rear fender that WAS NOT present when vehicle was left at body shop. Body shop staff has refused to repair damage caused while vehicle was at Volvo shop.
This has probably been one of the worst dealership...
This has probably been one of the worst dealership experiences I’ve had in a long time. I had initially inquired on an 07 Acura they had posted for sale Saturday 7/11. I was put in contact with Daniel Holder who had initially offered to have me stop by Monday to try and take a look at the vehicle after it was out of its “200 Point inspection”. I was unable to do so due to my work schedule so I was promised pictures of the vehicle to be sent Monday instead, which was acceptable. I was able to free up my schedule to stop by Monday and had reached out to Mr. Holder to inform him. He said he would inquire and see when the vehicle would be ready so that it may be viewed and that he would follow up as soon as possible. Mind you, I had informed him if everything checks out I am ready to purchase the vehicle as I was already financed and only needed info on the car and a test drive. His last contact on Monday was around 9 AM and I did not receive another word until almost 2 PM Monday, almost 5 hours later just to inform me that the vehicle wasn’t ready. If the poor level of communication wasn’t an initial indicator of how the remainder of this experience was going to go, the following would solidify it. I later before the dealership closed told Mr. Holder what my available times would be Wednesday and Thursday to try and look at the vehicle. I did not receive a response until the following morning (Tuesday) informing me the vehicle may be available earlier to view and take a test drive. I had informed him of my previous schedule arrangements and that I just need the previously promised photos and minimal service history that I had requested. Mr. Holder informed me at 930 AM that he would do his “due diligence” and send this information to me. I waited until nearly 2 PM without a response, so I called the dealership and asked for a manager. Both managers on staff at the time were apparently “out of the office” or “with customers” and I had left my name and number waiting for a call back. I waited almost an hour and a half without any response. I then called again and was put in touch with Brittany White who was the internet sales manager informing her of my frustration and disappointment with how poorly the situation has been handled so far. They said they understood and was able to send me photos of the vehicle in a timely manner. After doing so I offered to place a deposit on the vehicle and was informed I would need $2,000 in order for it to be held; which is unheard of for a deposit as that’s more along the lines of a down payment and the majority of dealerships I’ve dealt with only require between $100-$500 to secure a vehicle; not to mention I was already pre approved through my credit union as I later informed her. Her response to this was only an increase in the vehicle’s price and an out the door price; seemingly asking me to make an offer and essentially buy a car that I haven’t even been able to test drive due to my appointed sales person’s negligence. At this point I was essentially finished and no longer interested as it was clear this dealership was not to any standard of professionalism; especially towards a client and serious buyer that has informed them multiple times they are ready to purchase if they were just able to receive the minimal information they were requiring. But to have such a poor level of communication between a sales person and client, not being given promised information that was requested, having to call multiple times just to get in touch with a manager then being told I either need $2,000 to put down as a deposit, which still baffles me, and then only being given an out the door price on the vehicle as a solution? I can not say I’ve seen such unorganized chaos in such a short amount of time from a dealership that seems to hold themselves reputable. I do not recommend anyone visit this dealership if they expect good customer service and an easy transaction.

Since buying my used Volvo V60 in Sept. 2019, I've been shown nothing but professionalism and pleasantness with each contact or visit. I travel to Winston-Salem to this dealership while driving right past the east Charlotte Volvo dealership near my home with not a single regret. They have complementary services, convenient appointments and a very clean, but small, waiting room. I just took my car in for recall repair service and scheduled maintenance. And even though I also used their loaner vehicle, I was in and out in 15 minutes upon my arrival! They are a class act!
NO Masks!
None of the employees were wearing face masks to prevent the spread of corona virus when I took my car for service last week. It showed a lack of respect for their customers' and employees' health, and the health of those they come in contact with, including my elderly mother who is already not well. I was very uncomfortable with having to hand my drivers license directly to an employee when it was so evident that they were not concerned about spreading germs. This makes me extremely upset that I've already paid for service on my new XC-90 (my family's seventh car from this dealer) and don't have a choice to take my business elsewhere.
Very Good Purchasing Experience
I contacted the dealership about test-driving a new V90 CC and V90 R wagon. The sales person, Melissa Grant, had both cars ready to go when I arrived for the test drive. We drove them both, haggled a bit over pricing, and in the next day or two I bought the wagon. Melissa's a trustworthy and knowledgeable sales person, and it was a pleasure dealing with her -- strongest recommendation.

I bought my 2nd s60 & this car is terrible. I had an older 02 Volvo & it’s still going strong with 225k miles. 2015 model is the complete opposite experience. Only had it 1 1/2 yrs. I’ve had to replace an evaporator core, thermostat sensor, and paint peeling without any accident and the car only has 66k miles. The dealer wasn’t helpful. I was promised free oil chains but charged. I have my money return for that incident, however at the same time they replaced windshield wipers without my Consent & have never be reinbursted. Tried talking with manger Les & Was blowed off As well as had an excuse for everything & his reasoning for the problems. He also said Carfax reports are not accurate! I need to investigate to see if it’s true. Volvo North America doesn’t stand by Their product. Doesn’t always document your calls nor gives you correct information prior to having work done on the car.
Customer Focused Company!
Great car dealership that easy to work with when buying a car and for servicing. I drive 3 hours to have car serviced and it's well worth the time. Would definitely recommend Volvo Cars Winston Salem.
5th Car Purchased
We just bought our fifth car from dealership over the last 22 years. Sales rep was extremely generous with her time and attention. Found just exactly what we wanted and delivered it the same day. Following a bad accident, we replaced a Volvo with a Volvo without reservation. The products are awesome. The dealership lives a "customer for life" business philosophy that provides a {Win,Win} outcome time and time again.. Couldn't have asked for more.
