The only reason I gave 1 star is because I can’t give negative 10 stars. Long story short: 2016 engine blew up at 62,000 miles. This was my 26 year old daughter’s first car she bought on her own. This dealership never diagnosed why the engine blew up. Speculated the timing belt skipped (a Volvo timing belt should last for 250k miles). Even if that was the case, that is a manufacturing issue. No blame could be placed on my daughter for the engine blowing up, although Volvo USA customer service tried to tell my husband the timing belt skipped because the spark plugs were 2k miles overdue to be changed (this is a mechanical impossibility). They wanted to charger her $16k for a new engine. Told us they would do us a favor and put a rebuilt one in for $10k or they would buy it from her for $6500. She owes $15k. There were no good options for her. We dealt with the local dealership, Volvo National and Volvo International in Sweden. They would not stand behind their motor. We would have gladly paid the labor to have a rebuilt motor put in, but we feel Volvo should have provided the motor at their cost. We felt that was reasonable. We weren’t looking for a hand out, but also knew Volvo needed to own some responsibility for the workmanship of this motor. There are lots of reports online of similar issues with no known cause (don’t take my word for it, do the research). I have gone to social media, and people have reached out with similar issues. One person reached out and said they did not go back to this dealership when they bought their second Volvo because the service department was so bad. Our next stop will be to the local news station. We do not want this to happen to anyone else. Do not invest 10s of thousands of dollars in a product that a company will not stand behind. Ralph in particular was very rude. When we had AAA come pick the car up they wouldn’t even tell the driver which car was my daughter’s. She had to go to the dealership to tell him. My daughter lives in Mooresville. When we found our own used engine and someone to put it in, so my daughter would only lose $4000 my husband walked into the dealership and the first thing Ralph said to my husband was “ you are a bold faced liar!” Who lets their people talk to customers like that? If choosing a different path so our daughter doesn’t have as much financial fallout from buying a lemon, then yes I guess he is a liar, because we originally told them we would sell them the car back. What I would have expected from a decent human being would have been understanding that we were able to make her bad situation a little better, but that did not happen. We had always heard Volvos were great cars, they last forever. That may have been the case for the Volvo of yesteryear, but that was not our experience with today’s Volvo. Buyer beware. However, if you feel you have to buy a Volvo, do me a personal favor and buy it anywhere but from this dealership. Our next stop...Modern Toyota!

Can’t tell you how great it is to have a dealership that is willing to go the extra miles - literally! I’m located in Raleigh and they don’t hesitate to come pick up my car for service even though I’m a couple hours away. Such a convenience! Request Dayle to make your day a little extra special! He is a delight to work with!!!

I bought a preowned V60 with a trade from Charleston, SC. Made the deal, drove up and vehicle was as described, they honored the deal, once in the business office, moved through the process quickly and professionally. Discovered at the last minute, they did not have the tool to remove the roof rack, and it was mailed to me within days. Outstanding folks, off the charts integrity, best internet sale experience by far, highly recommended.

Was treated pleasantly and professionally throughout the entire process. I bought a 2020 XC60 and these people (or team, I should say) really do care and strive to make your experience as convenient as possible. 10/10 would recommend sales, service, all of the above.

Classic bait and switch company!!! DO NOT - believe the internet pricing on their cars!! Complete waste of time if you aren’t trading in a vehicle or if you aren’t financing so they can manipulate numbers. I have pictures of cars with prices and as we were texting prices online were changing, which I also took pictures. Buyer beware!! I would give a zero star rating if I could.
I just purchased my 4th XC90 from Volvo Cars Winston Salem. Melissa K, Thomas, Daniel, Les and Melinda were terrific, once again! I definitely recommend this Volvo Retailer. Top notch!
This was the best experience ever. Volvo of Winston Salem picked up my car from 100 miles on a rainy day and left me with another Volvo. They called to indicate service was complete, took payment over the phone, and returned my car to my driveway the very next day. In addition to this, all of the vehicles purchased at their dealerships comes with a lifetime oil change and courtesy valet...impressive. I was so pleased I began my morning meeting indicating I was so appreciative of this service a few other colleagues inquired specifically about his dealership. I am so glad I made the choice to drive past 3 other more conveniently located dealerships to come here. Great place, phenomenal service.
Melissa Grant is the best!
We loved out experience with Volvo. It has always been my dream car and now my dream has come true! Thank you Melissa Grant for being so kind to us.
Oh My God NO and I repeat NO
Poor experience. Did not identify the true nature of my vehicles problem. They wanted 2300 dollars to fix an issue, but was pushy as a used car salesman to get me to do it before a designated time. Next they told me my battery was bad, but it was only 6 months old and had it checked out somewhere after service and it was just fine. I think they need people that actually work on a vehicle and just not replace parts. I also wonder if it is a way to get customers to just throw their hands up and trade their vehicle in to make more money. Buyer beware at this dealership.

I travelled 10.5 hrs to pick up my Volvo S90 and it was worth it. Melissa Keffer was knowledgeable about all features of this elegant vehicle.
