Not Honest. Don't trust these guys!!
I haven't even bought a vehicle from these guys and I can tell they're crooks. I'm a gear head and was looking for a particular vehicle. The pictures shown are a newer year and higher trim level. Their description is for the lower year and trim level. I ran the vin and it's also for the lower trim level. Very deceitful.
Do Not Purchase Your Vehicle From Here
I purchased a Lincoln Navigator in Dec of 2021 from Vehicle Motor City and have had nothing but issues since day one. While Robert, our salesman, was friendly and knowledgeable regarding financing options, we could not have foreseen the disaster that unfolded. I drove the vehicle home, and the following morning, I almost crashed on the way to work. The car attempted to brake and accelerate itself simultaneously. I was very fortunate that I was not on the highway, nor were any vehicles behind me because they would have slammed into the rear of my car. All my gages and radio were no longer functioning. I was able to pull to the side of the road, turn the vehicle off, and then back on again. My husband took the vehicle straight back to Vehicle Motor City to explain the situation. Since I had purchased the car less than 24hrs prior, I assumed they would take the car and make the necessary repairs. Instead, they had us drop the vehicle off at one of their “preferred” mechanics. While the mechanic was friendly and understanding of our situation, he could not figure out what was causing the vehicle to take control of the brake and accelerator. He replaced the starter and stated that was all he could do. This was beyond his expertise. The repair cost $350, which we paid for out of pocket. While we were communicating back and forth with Robert, he assured us that if he received a copy of the receipt, he would be able to reimburse us considering we had purchased the extended warranty on the vehicle, and it had only been 24 hours since the purchase when we experienced this issue. Three days later, the vehicle once again had the same issues. We then took the car to an actual Lincoln Dealership; they were confident the issue was a transmission sensor. They kept our vehicle for 33 days to complete all the repairs, which included 1) wiring as the “front park aid” would continuously stay on, 2) the running boards motor was completely fried, and 3) the driver’s side door won’t latch if its too cold outside and the transmission issue. We were not provided with a loaner vehicle, so my husband and I spent a month coordinating schedules and wasting an outrageous amount of time driving each other to and from our work establishments. While we are relieved that this xxxx is now over and the vehicle is repaired, not all the repair work was covered under the extended warranty, and we were forced to pay an additional $450 for those repairs. To date, I am still awaiting the $350 repair cost refund from Robert. My husband went down to the dealership yesterday to finally attempt to talk to someone face to face considering we bought the vehicle from Vehicle City Motors with all of these issues. While Sean, the sales manager, was apologetic, he stated the only thing he could offer us for the inconvenience of our time and money was a $500 credit towards our next vehicle purchased at Vehicle City Motors. Needless to say, we will not be purchasing another vehicle from this company ever again, and the lack of customer service and resolve they show towards their customers is troubling at best. Considering the lack of response from management regarding complaints, I know this will fall on deaf ears, but my hope is a potential buyer will take a second thought before purchasing a vehicle from this company. Please learn from my costly mistake and not purchase a vehicle from Vehicle City Motors.
I purchased a truck from these crooks, after thanksgiving! The truck has frame damage, that has been cobbled back together. The shocks have been welded, so they can’t be replaced. The whole front end needed to be rebuilt, the list of issues could go on! I have called a few times, and talked to Jason. He has assured me, they will make it right. They have done nothing, to make it right! Anyone looking to purchase a vehicle from these liars, should look elsewhere. I wouldn’t buy a push mower from these crooks, knowing what I know now!
72 yr old woman gets the royal treatment
I read some of your advertising about being a great place and having the best service. HA, What a joke. I worked with one of your so-called sales reps and I found him to be the most blatant liar I have ever met. He not only lied to me about the truck, bet he knew I was trusting him to tell me the truth. HA, I got a hunk of junk and I traded a great vehicle for it, plus I had cash down and I still ended up paying 3K more. When I got it home, the transmission went out. Another 3K+. The windshield wipers only work at regular speed and fast. So much for LTZ. The equipment for the video setup was in pieces, the tires were so worn that I had two flats before I had the vehicle for two months. I did notice that the front dash was split. Sales Rep said, oh I didn't see that. The brakes that they said were new didn't have all of the parts to them. Another $400. The side rails that used to be hooked up to work, couldn't get them to work. Come to find out, the doors didn't even belong to the vehicle. Obviously, they go to the truck and the keys don't work on the doors. Lights are out, missing and the bose system that was supposed to be there, replaced by some off-the-wall vendor. No CD player, no working selection for finding stations, no speakers to speak of. Ah, and the vehicle will not go up a 20-degree hill without going out to push it. This is what my $14,000 got me. I guess you know what I think of that so-called salesperson. Everyone I know has an idea about Vehicle City. It ain't pretty. I let everyone who'll listen know about them. I just hope this gets to the people who are actually considering buying an auto there.
I will avoid in the future.
Bought 2 vehicles within 2 months and was told I'd get a discount for being a return customer. It never happened and when I brought it up they just shrugged their shoulders and apologized.
NICOLE is my Kinda of Person, "A CAN DO PERSON"
I had written several bad reviews, they were well deserved bad reviews. On mutiple occasions statements by the Owner (alleged) and sales person over a period of weeks were given to stating action that would be completed in order to provide me with the second key to the vehicle (2010 Dodge Larmie, 3500) which was inadvertantley not provided at the time of the cash sale. I like the truck, I feel got a fair deal. The positive review revolves around the lady that handles Titles Nicole did everything and then sum to help me in a timely manner. I greatly appreciate her "Can Do Attitude" even after we got off to a bad start. Nicole certainly exceeded all expectations in this situation and I want to tell her Thank You very much. Its late and I am still wore out, but did not want her efforts to go unrecognized or appreciated
Left a bad review but they fixed the issue. Sam was especially nice to me I would consider buying from them in the future. Thank you
