Contacted dealership about vehicle and was told to send pics as I was out of state. Sent requested info never received word back from them. Fiance followed up with them and they claimed they would contact me yet no one ever did. Poor customer service and after seeing others taken advantage of I am sooooo glad they ignored me.

So I got 2020 Honda Pilot ex-l with 438 miles. I called them and they were willing to pick me up from Airport, but when I did repairs inspection I called out multiple things, they couldn't do anything on price because it's not their car, but they were selling for someone else. There is a problem with Honda Pilot in 2018-2020 with screen and audio computer. They have two recalls, I took it to dealer to get those done, but it didn't fix the problem. So what exactly is the problem? 1. As soon as you start the car you may hear clicking noise in all speakers. 2. Audio plays with interruptions. 3. Audio screen goes out, completely black. 4. Main screen with all the gages goes out, so don't even know how fast you are going... Then it will restart. But couple times had to unplug battery for the main computer to be reset. But this is about the car that I got and it has almost nothing to do with this dealer, because it's factory fault. Now I'm looking to buy a truck from the same people I got my Pilot from...

Unethical business practices

In my world, a signed contract and a handshake mean a lot, plus it's actually pretty binding. We literally had a signed purchase agreement with TJ Chapman. We bought a car and wanted to take the car home that night but there were a few items that needed fixed. They suggested leaving it there so the work could be fixed by their mechanic. Two days later I call to check on the work and was told they sold the car to someone else who offered more money. I had given them half of the money up front and they said to give them the rest when we picked up the car. Their only response was "sorry, we sold it to someone else who paid a higher price." Wow, that just seems like poor business practice to me. So, lesson learned, don't trust TJ Chapman Auto and their unethical business practices where apparently bottom line is more important than a handshake and a contract.

The fact that they deleted my review twice from google, says a lot about this dealership. 2 days after buying a 2019 Crosstrek from here, I had a major gas leak while driving in the freeway. I took the car to my closest mechanic right away and he said I was lucky it didn’t catch on fire. This is very scary as I had my 3 month old baby with me in the car. A couple weeks later the brakes went out as I was pulling out of my driveway, granted the car is a rebuilt title. 2 mechanics have now told me this car should have never passed the rebuilt title inspection. There’s so many zip ties and tape under the hood. I would have hoped that a dealership would inspect a car before buying it, this tells me this dealership does not and they don’t care about the safety of their customers. I am now terrified of driving this car, especially with my baby in it.

After a purchase fell through on what I thought was a Good Deal (they were unable to obtain the title) at another dealer - I went on a google search for a somewhat unique situation, specific car / color/ and mileage - TJ Chapman Auto not only had the exact car I was looking for, but more bells and whistles and even better priced! Turned out to be a GREAT deal and I am so glad the first one fell through! The deal was done and papers were signed 500 miles away within 2 hours of reaching out to them! Then they put my car on a transport for a nominal fee and it was delivered to the front of my house! The car has far exceeded my expectations and the buying experience was phenomenal. I will go to them first from now on! Highly recommended!

We were stuck in Moab, Utah with a breakdown. We called TJ and he was super working with us. Even though we were 250 miles away we worked out a deal where he brought down a Cadillac Escalade ESV Platinum Edition on a flatbed tow truck and we traded in our vehicle. In a matter of hours email paperwork was sent, signed and we were on the road with a beautiful car. They went above and beyond meeting our needs. Thanks for a job well done Lori and TJ!

First Time Rebuilt Title Buyer-Great Experience Its been almost a year with the truck, and its been great! To backup, i do owe these guys a good review. Back in Sept of 2019 i was in the market for a white Ford F-150 XLT. They had a Lariat at a great price comparable to the XLTs and it was because it was a rebuilt title, which all i really knew prior was typically to stay away from that. I researched alot, and called up TJ Chapman Auto and worked with Scott Diederich who was very helpful. I lived in Phx, AZ and said i was very interested in the truck, was willing to fly to SLC, check out the truck, and drive in back if all was right. I had to put a non-refundable deposit down to hold the truck for 3 days, Scott picked me up from the airport, and we went to work. I was VERY meticulous with the truck. It was really in great shape from the outside. I am no mechanic so i did my best with a checklist of about 50 things to review on my own. I was still hesitant however so i bought the aftermarket extended warranty they provide. I went with a GOLD package from Gold Standard Auto Network. Cost around $3k and the truck was selling for about $27k. Year 2016. Bought it, and drove it off the lot. On the way back to AZ that same day, noticed the fuel gauge would not reach 'Full'. Noticed it again when i filled in PHX. Took it in to the Ford dealership (all of this while i was texting and calling Scott about it as it had been only hours and days off the lot). Ford said something was up with the Fuel Flute and needed to be fixed. Had to drop the tank, fix it or put in a new one. All said and done about $500-$600. I split the difference with Scott/TJ Chapman so we each paid a little for it. Other then that, the truck has been fantastic. Ive used the Gold Standard Auto Network for a maintenance check (Tire rotation, oil change, wheel alignment) and they didnt cover as much as expended (shorted me about $30 bucks of coverage when i thought they would pay about $90 they only paid $60). All in all, i have been very happy with the truck, Scott was great to work with, TJs mother was the one who completed all my paperwork in the office with me. Everyone was kind and nice to work with. Overall i would do it again, however with a rebuilt car, you never quite know how good the repairs were, and TJ Auto works with various mechanics who rebuild the cars, TJ just sells them. So either know your stuff, or get warranty coverage(that ultimately will be better than it is sadly), or just buy a new car.

I have bought two vehicles from TJ Chapman in the last three years. I test drove the car I wanted at another dealership to make sure it was the style I wanted and hated the experience. I called TJ and he had exactly what I wanted, but better faster than I expected. They were very accommodating and made the process very easy. I never felt pressure to buy and they were extremely up front with me through the whole process. All my vehicle searches will begin at TJ Chapman!

I purchased a vehicle from this location in late 2016. The slogan too good to be true sums up their prices in relation to the quality of the vehicle you buy. I bought a 2014 honda pilot. I have had to put over $3000 dollars in repairs to the vehicle. One particular repair that is most alarming was they improperly installed an air bag. There were screws through where the air bag would deploy. The dealer told me there was no chance the air bag would have properly deployed and most likely would have launched shrapnel. I was told when I purchased the car that it was in a minor accident no damage to the engine and all front end damage was fixed properly. Come to find out during another repair bill whagt TJ Chapman considers fixed properly is several tubes of JB weld holding the engine block together. I spoke with the owner himself and at first I was encouraged that he would do the right thing. He told me he would look into a solution when I got back a hold of him with a fair solution (several options) he said never mind its been to long since you bought the vehicle. You bought it as is (which in full disclosure I did). He said all this while fully admitting that at this particular time in the business he was working on fixing some things and that some of the vehicles that left his lot never got the right attention and some of the repair work was sub par. Really an experience that gives used car dealers a bad name. If looking for a rebuilt title dont go here!
