Brakes inspected and stated no issue-6000 miles later i need a full caliper, rots and pad brak replacement job. Very dissappointed that they missed actaully inspecting these when i was in for a full services oil change.
We apologize for your experience. As our service manager stated in the email to you, we did an oil change on your vehicle 7 months and 6,543 miles ago. At that oil change we do a visual inspection of the pads and rotors. We do not test brake caliper mechanics as that is a different service in addition to the visual brake inspection that we do for free during oil changes. If we did see a caliper failure it would be very noticeable as the single wheels pads would have excess wear that the other pads do not have. With most caliper failures, the noise and degradation of the single break pad is very noticeable and would not last 6,500 miles, it would likely lock up within a couple hundred miles of the mechanical failure of the caliper. Again, we apologize for your experience but this is not something Tenvoorde Ford missed or could have forseen.

Clean professional looking shop. But lots of service "advisors" standing around, none of them saying hi or acknowledging you're even there. Only come here when I have to, i.e warranty or recall needs.

Thanks for your response. I understand we all get busy. I was the second vehicle to park in the service bay that morning, there were 3 or 4 vehicles that pulled in after me, got served and were on their way, one of them in a shuttle before anyone even said hi to me. I had to wait another 15 minutes for another shuttle. In my opinion it's more of a work culture thing there at Tenvoorde, same reason I ended up buying my truck from a dealership in Duluth instead of Tenvoorde. I must admit, I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to service shops, the shop I've gone to for years knows me by name and they have the best mechanics in St. Cloud, their shop rate is a little higher than everywhere else, but you get what you pay for. I bring all my personal vehicles there and send all my work fleet cars there to get serviced. They have a tenth of the staff Tenvoorde does but they understand the Customer service component. Oil change great…timely.
Oil change great…timely. Unfortunately, at pick up time a tar resurfacing crew had sprayed my car. Detainers rushed and did a poor job cleaning it. I had to bring my car on another day to clean up the problem. Thankfully, Quick Lane manager helped take care of the problem 😉
