My husband and I drove about an hour and fifteen minutes and had at least 2 other Subaru dealers we could have visited that were closer but chose to go to Gainesville because they had the color vehicle we were looking for. We had no idea that this would turn out to be the best car shopping experience either of us had ever experienced! They practice a method of sales and service unlike any we had ever heard of and it was exactly what we needed! Zero pressure and wonderful service! Thank you George Bush and Ronnie Myles for all that you do. I doubt if we will ever buy a car anywhere else!

The ignition replacement was unfamiliar work, but every effort was made to have all parts working properly. Also , unforeseen work was done with an effort to make it as economically as possible.

I, just like many others, dread going to buy a new car given the pressure the salespeople put on you. But this was by far the most enjoyable new-car purchase (we have bought or leased about 12 new cars in the last 25 years) Our sales rep Bradley Searles was courteous, professional and made the whole experience something to write about. This is our third Subaru, so we were sold on it before we came in, but we weren't sure that we could get it for our son who studies in UF due to my less than perfect credit. Well,my credit was not so bad after all, they gave us a very fair price for our trade-in and we drove away with a new car in 2.5 hours! (never got a new car so fast) We're from Miami, but we're already thinking about doing 370 miles to Gainesville for our next car. Thank you Subaru of Gainesville!

Ringing the Bell for Over the Top Service

First of all, I'm in sales - a real estate broker - and historically, I abhor the entire car buying experience! I treasure and value honesty, transparency, sincerity, responsive communication, product knowledge and most importantly respect for the customer's desires, needs and expectations. A few weekends ago, my husband and I began a search for a car we wanted to buy a few years ago - a Volkswagen Eos hardtop convertible. Unfortunately, it's no longer in production so that led us to the on-line search, which led to results (owners and dealers) from around the country. A thorough search led us to a nicely portrayed EOS offered by Subaru of Gainesville and very professionally pictured with some 2+ dozen photos detailing the car's condition and every feature. Late on a Saturday afternoon/evening (we live in Bozeman Montana so afternoon for us and evening for the dealership) we reached out to the dealership and within minutes heard back from a sales associate, Greg Cox. Our numerous questions as we went back and forth via calls and text messages were efficiently answered by Greg Cox assuring us of his knowledge and care for satisfying our every need. Over the phone, we secured our commitment to purchase "our new EOS" and the remainder of the business side of the transaction was conducted on Monday. The over and above "customer service" occurred over the next few days. Greg Cox coordinated the reams of paperwork for an out of state purchase, licensing and importantly for those of us who live in a sales tax-free state like Montana - the ability to accomplish the licensing paperwork ensuring a non-sales tax transaction. (Just guessing not too many Montanans buy cars in Florida for a return to their Montana residence)! Greg Cox assisted with our arrangements to have the car shipped to Montana and even made sure he was available on his days off to coordinate the auto transport pick-up! Many photos and videos later - compliments of Greg Cox - our EOS was on its way cross country! Amazingly, within minutes of its arrival in Bozeman, Montana, my phone was ringing - it was Greg Cox making sure we were happy seeing our EOS for the first time!! To say the least, we were over the top impressed and couldn't wait to take "her" out under the Big Blue Skies of Montana! I cannot ring the bell of praise loud enough for Greg Cox as well as for Subaru of Gainesville! A sales associate cannot be outstanding without a reputable dealership behind them and a dealership is non-existent without the integrity of their sales associates. Kudos and Congratulations to both and with cheers and thanks, we send a hearty cross-country thank you for an incredible experience!

Bad customer service

5 minutes for phone to be answered. Hung up several times. Finally got appointment, 8 days away. This is for defect of new car. Before you buy, call service department and see how that goes. Customer service is skin deep and only exist doing buying. We have learned hard way, Subaru does not live up to their hype. Maybe in the past, not now.

Very disappointed. Drove from Jacksonville to see a vehicle and scheduled an appointment that was not kept. Once I got to see the vehicle I was told that someone else was also interested and that I needed to wait. Never actually got to speak to anyone about the vehicle. Wasted my time completely. If you’re looking for any form of customer service or for reliability in appointment keeping or just general curtesy, look elsewhere.
