Worst car buying experience I've had

Mitch was a polite sales man. He explained that sales rep's at Subaru of Gainesville were not commission based and took pride in their customer service. Price on car was firm, dealership fee firm, and they determined the trade in value of my Mazda 6 with 120k on the odometer was only worth $1.5k despite having brand new tires and being in nice drivable shape. (no dents but not perfect admittedly). They justified the price by comparing similar model years auction value (both examples had much more mileage than mine.) None the less, I chose to purchase a certified WRX with 23k miles for $25k and purchased a warranty along with several extra options. Excited, I got the car home and detailed it. Upon closer inspection, the front and rear emblem badges were not original. They were cheap, red plastic "racer boy" aftermarket emblems. So I called Mitch and explained the situation, certain that a pair of stock badges could obtained. He then texted me that the new badges would cost $120 a piece! I asked if that price could be waved and he agreed to ask his manager about it and then promptly ghosted me. Despite several inquiries over several days, I have gotten radio silence. It obvious is to me that I am simply a number, not a valued customer of Subaru of Gainesville. Which was indeed the cold feeling I got from the staff while I was there. Now I am considering upgrading to an STI. If I do, I'll make the drive to Orlando or Jacksonville. I've been diligent in telling everyone who comes and admires the shiny new/used car with plastic racer badges about my experience there.

Horrible Dealership

I have had repeated terrible experiences with this dealership and keep giving them a chance to salvage my husband and I as customers and they just keep missing the mark. They have officially lost us both now as we would rather drive to Ocala or Jacksonville Subaru than give this horrible dealership our business. Instead of buying my car here after a ridiculous test drive and sales experiences, we chose to drive to Apopka and buy the same car from a dealership there instead. The service department is an absolute joke and lacks all sense of customer service and treat you like you are an inconvenience to them. I will be contacting Subaru of America as well to inform them of all the issues we both have had at this dealership. From treating us like we are a bother, letting my husband sit for over 4 hours for his appointment, scratching my car while it was in for service and then acting like I was the pain when I asked them to repair it, to being treated like I am a clueless woman when it comes to cars, to being spoken to in the most condescending manners, and more.

Trying a new Subaru Forester

My wife and I went to look at Subaru Foresters on MLK's Day. Although our plan is to buy a new car in May, we wanted to check what was available, test-drive a car and have just an idea of what financing options were available. The salesman, George Bush was excellent. He waited for us at the door at the time we had set to try a Forester. He understood exactly what we were looking for. He spent a great deal of time with us explaining the car and letting us drive it around with him. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle. We were impressed by his professionalism. We will definitely look again into this dealership when time comes.

Bob Hendrickson is the BEST! He was quick to respond to our email inquiry and we put our vehicle lease together over the phone in one afternoon. No haggling, we just told him what we wanted and our price range and Bob made it happen. We drove to Gainesville the next week and everything went smoothly!
