Tim Cannon is the Best
Tim was very honest, patient, and fun to work with! He helped me over 2 weeks look for a Pacifica that worked financially with our family! His manager worked a few tricks to get me where I wanted as well! We will definitely be buying from him again! The sales management at the Sam Leman CDJR Peoria
The sales management at the Sam Leman CDJR Peoria location is utterly horrible and that is an understatement. After purchasing a brand new $74K vehicle which turned out to be unrepairable and actually made worse by their service department after multiple attempts at resolving the issue and scratching the wheels, door sill and door panel, the manufacturer bought it back. I requested Sam Leman and the manufacturer to build the same vehicle for the price I paid. The Sam Leman of Peoria sales manager and general sales manager attempted to charge me an extra $7,000 on top of the $7,000 the manufacturer was willing to contribute despite a majority of the 691 miles driven on the vehicle before lemon law buyback were driven by their employees vs. myself over the few months I owned it. I was paying insurance and payments on it to sit in their service department, outside in their lot waiting on parts or driven home by their technicians. Shame on this dealership for leading me to believe they valued my business and I would be taken care of. Their true colors shined through once the sale was finalized. They could have cared less about the quality of the product they sold or in building a repeat and loyal customer relationship once the sale was finalized and they had my money. In the end after the FCA regional service advisor told me that the vibration was the worst he had seen in these trucks and couldn’t be fixed on mine (i.e. Out of spec), they attempted to make it right. But Don was adamant on getting another $7K so I pursued the lemon law buyback because they were trying to take advantage of the situation at my expense. The entire buyback process was a nightmare because again, I was continuing to pay for a vehicle I wasn't driving (payments and insurance) and Sam Leman didn't guide me through it. I had to figure it out in my own with FCA. Then I had to literally research Illinois statutes and prove that Sam Leman would need to refund the taxes I paid and obtain them back from the state because manufacturers aren't liable for refunding the tax portion in Illinois. The dealer is accountable for that portion. It consumed a ton of my time because no one at Sam Leman knew the process nor did they have any interest in helping me through it.
Jeremy, We are sorry to hear that you had issues with your new truck that originated from the manufacturer. We involved them from the beginning and a field representative made multiple visits to try to rectify the situation. It was determined by Stellantis that the vibration was within acceptable range for their build specs. Once it was determined that you were unsatisfied with Stelantis' determination, our service director became involved and helped facilitate the buyback. The buyback was generated by Stellantis to promote customer satisfaction. As stated, they believe the truck was operating as designed and within their specs. Per our last conversation, you were pleased with their buyback offer and agreed to their terms. The buyback offer content did not extend to the purchase of another vehicle. The issue of finding a new vehicle became complicated as the truck you originally purchased was no longer available due to a year change, limited rebates, and price changes. Those factors were beyond our control. We discussed multiple options including a goodwill cash offer and retaining the truck, trading the vehicle, and the aforementioned buyback offer. In the end you chose to return the truck and not replace it at that time. While unfortunate, the issue at hand originated from the factory and with the involvement of the manufacturer, we did our best to rectify the vibration concern. Thank you for your feedback.
Beware of this dealership location. Not surprising at all, but their response contains multiple lies. The truck was NOT within spec per the factory rep. and it wasn’t able to be fixed after multiple attempts. Manufacturers don’t buy back vehicles just because someone wants them to. They buy them back if an issue cannot be repaired after multiple attempts. I was never pleased with the end result as the dealer reflects. The manufacturer put their best foot forward and offered me $7,000 toward building another truck. I only wanted they and Sam Leman to pull together and build a truck that didn’t shake at the same price. But Don Off attempted to gouge me by charging an additional $7,000 on top of what Stellantis had put into it. Again, my truck had 691 miles on it.

This is my 2nd Pacifica purchase with Tim in the last 2 years. We upgraded from a 2020 Pacifica touring L plus to a 2022 Pacifica hybrid limited, not because we needed to.. but with gas prices rising, we felt a hybrid option made more sense for me and my limited distance driving. Each time we’ve been end of the workday customers, and Tim has worked late and gone above and beyond to give us the best car buying experience both times, despite knowing that if the numbers on our most recent trade didn’t make sense to trade/purchase that it might not happen, he still gave us every bit of support and effort during the process. When the time comes for an upgrade in the future, we’ll be asking for Tim, as he’s been the most knowledgeable and accommodating salesman during our vehicle purchases at Sam Leman. Definitely recommend Tim for anyone’s future vehicle purchase! You won’t be disappointed!

Very thorough in explaining the vehicle and how it works. No high pressure sales and nothing was too much to ask of him. Quick and easy, very accommodating.

Great experience with Sam Leman, and Adam Lentz in particular. Low pressure test drives and discussion on pricing. Largely communicated and negotiated through text message exchange. My new car was washed and gassed up when I came in for paperwork after we agreed on a price. Drove it away under an hour later!
