Had been searching for a car for a while now. Wanted to make sure I was obtaining exactly what I wanted before I made the financial commitment to a vehicle. Paul Flores and EJ Jaramillo were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I was able to get the car I wanted at the price I wanted as well. Will definitely recommend this dealership to friends/family and look forward to continuing to do business here.
Found a vehicle online, purchased it, and they sold it
Purchased a vehicle online, made an appt with the store, drove 100 miles to the dealer, and they sold it to a person that was there at the exact time I was. I will not go back here!
salesman said he would have cars pulled up and ready for me to test drive --is saw on internet-got there and he did not. went to back lot with him and first car had terrible grinding noise in front end--could be brakes he said--this is a 2020 vehicle supposedly with 2022 miles . second vehicle he said was not on this lot. they would not go get for me to test drive until I agreed (sign their sales proposal) to their price. Briefly , would not till I test drove. they would not let me. to let you know, i bought vehicle from them in past-,-found out odometer 2060 miles on it--carfax now shows it had 18,100 on it by previous owner. I am second owner. Have contacted Department of Motor Vehicles and getting the written documentation to file complaint with them for odometer rollback. This is the short version-the sales manager should be fired for the way he treated me this time--I was there over one and a half hours, never test drove the car I had called about, and had what i call a verbal altercation with him when i tried to get keys for my car--he had for valuing my trade-in.

I tried to purchase a car at Red McCombs Hyundai Northwest for a new car and had the absolute worst possible experience. They were very deceptive and tried to make me pay nearly $10,000 more in hidden fees for the car I was looking at. When I had realized what they were doing, I spoke to Patrick Stephens (sales manager) to explain my concerns. He tried to work with me on the price but when I had told him that I changed my mind due to a better off at another dealership, he became very angry. He was incredibly rude to me and said "I dont even want to sell you this car. I dont want to deal with this anymore". He proceeded to storm off and then LIED to Hyundai Motor Finance (he knew I was wanting to get my loan with them) and said I was making a "straw purchase" to cause me to get denied the loan and prevent me from purchasing a car anywhere else. I can't even believe they did that out of pure pettiness. They were trying to scam as much as they could out of me and became vengeful when I tried to take my business elsewhere. Will NEVER go back or recommend anyone to go there!!! I would rate less than 1 star if I could. Absolute dreadful and horrific experience. They are untrustworthy and unprofessional. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration!

Fantastic dealership and friendly staff. After a negative experience with toyota of boerne (no honesty, manipulation, safety violations) I found my way to red mccombs. My family was picked up by our professional and friendly salesman Ernesto just to make the purchase. It is clear this dealership has customer satisfaction in mind. I even got a courtesy call the very next day regarding any potential concerns of mine. Mad xxxxxxto Mr.Esteves and to Hyundai northwest as a whole!!!!
Terrible Diagnostics, fixed myself
Hit a pot hole that damaged my alignment. Took it in as i didn't have time to do it myself or i would have. They replaced some parts such as the strut, cv axle and other components of the sterring gor $1700 on my 2012 Veloster valued at $5000 according to them. I barely drive the car after i got it back. Seemed fine. I drive maybe 10min as i use my motorcycle mostly. Took it for a long drive about 2 months after service and started getting a grinding noise. Thought it was the same problem. Took it back and they said it was the transmission and right CV axle. I didnt accept this, took it home, pulled the left tire and it looks like the Hub assembly that was also replaced according to paperwork, was the old one. But whatever. I checked everything and re tightened everything to specs. Sound went away. Called them, told them and the manager Patrick went with me for a test drive. Drove it really hard before the sound came back. Said it was the trans again. I wasn't about to drop another $2k on it. Took it home. As someone who has worked on cars in the past I decided to check things. I also know that trans fluid drains when you pull the CV drive shaft. So i drained the trans and only got 1 quart instead of 2 and it was black. Turns out they didn't fill back up the trans fluid after replacing the CV axle. I refilled it and now it runs perfect, no noise for over a week now. This was a simple mistake due to lack of proper diagnostics. They were willing to cost me a car or a lot of money and time over a simple miss. I believe they made their decision that they were right and what do i know and wouldn't admit or just didn't know they forgot to add the fluid. Never ever going back. A thorough diagnostics would have saved a lot of time and money. Whos going to pay me for that? Patrick the manager was nice but he relied on his techs and they obviously didnt use a check list.
No better service than this dealership and Paul Flores
I've never experienced better care and service than what I received from Genesis of Northwest San Antonio. Starting from when I walked into the door to a month later when I needed service, I've been treated like a king. This has all been made possible by Paul Flores. I usually don't write reviews but I've bothered this man at work and off work and his diligence has never failed. I will never go to another dealership in this city. I will never not recommend this particular dealership to anyone in need of a vehicle new or old. They have never not taken care of me and I couldn't possibly be more grateful of Paul Flores' hard work and the backing he has received from his leadership at Genesis of Northwest San Antonio.
