Bait and Switch

1.0
by Terry on Jun 06, 2021

This dealership advertised a vehicle on the internet for $3999.00. My young daughter wanted to buy her first vehicle. She worked with Nas and put a $1000 deposit on the vehicle. Two hours later, she shows me her documentation, and the sales price on it is $4998.00. Nas charged her two processing fees of $999.00. I asked Nas to change the sales price to $3999.00, the advertised price or return the $1000 deposit; which he refused. I told Nas that I will file a small business claim against the dealership, and he said "see you in court". I also told him that bait and switch is illegal in Virginia under, the Virginia Consumer Protection Act, § 59.1-200. Prohibited practices, paragraphs 8 and 14. In addition, I will file grievances with the DMV's business regulations section surety bond, the Virginia State Attorney's Office, and the Better Business Bureau. I will send these offices evidence of bait and switch. I am sure they will find in my favor and my remedy to try to resolve this issue reasonable. Under the Virginia Protection Act this dealership will be fined more than the $1000 they owe my daughter, and their reputation will take a hit.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

RUN AWAY!!!!!! If you find yourself at Premier Automotive, immediately get back in your car and find another dealership. If you are in the review process of finding a dealership, find another one and do not let yourself become a victim to Nas and Premier Automotive like we did. Nas and Premier Automotive are the eptimony of all the negative stereotypes of used car sales - smooth talkers willing to say anything and everything in order to take your money. Nas and Premier Automotive do not care about customer satisfaction or customer care. Once they have your money and you have left the lot, they have no interest in helping you with problems that come up and will avoid you or blatantly hang up on you when you try to talk to them about concerns that you have. Look at other posts for reference - this has happened to several people. Do not let their low prices deceive you. This is how they hook you in - you will pay for it in some way. Let me explain how. Inspection: DO NOT TRUST THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT OR SALESMAN STATING THAT IT HAS BEEN SERVICED. Nas, his team and Premier Automotive will tell you that all of their vehicles have been fully inspected - this is a lie. You will have to have knowledge on your state’s inspection regulations to fully inspect the vehicle yourself. I found out I had a missing tail light immediately after I left Nas and the dealership when a nice gentleman informed me at the gas station. You may ask why was I at the gas station after immediately leaving the lot - because they left me with a ¼ tank of gas. In addition, immediately after leaving the lot my key fob told me that my battery was so low that it may not start automatically. Great first impression. Plus, my mechanic informed me that they put the wrong oil in my car which means that we had to not only change the oil but flush the lines; that he had to replace a bracket to ensure that the muffler stayed in place; and that my windshield would not pass inspection due to scratches in the glass even after he tried to buff it out. LYING: I informed Nas of what happened with the windshield and inspection, and asked for the dealership to reimburse this cost. This is where things get sketchy. Nas told me that my mechanic was lying about the $1200 dollar cost to replace the windshield and that they could replace it for $200-300 - gaslighting technique. I sent Nas a quote from Safelite with the $1200 estimate to fix it. Nas told me that he would bring my concerns to his sales manager to discuss how they could fix it. Guess what - I never heard back. For several days, I would call Nas to get an update, he would see my call on his cell phone, text me stating that he was busy and that he would call me back. Nas never called me back. This went on for several days. I decided to use my work number to see if I could get Nas to answer my phone calls and sure enough he answered. As soon as I told him who I was, he immediately hung up on me and never called me back at either of my numbers. When I confronted Nas via text about his behavior, he made comments about how I was wrong to even think that he was avoiding me - very narcissistic behavior of gaslighting. My car did not come with an owner’s manual. Nas said that they would send me a $100 check so that I could buy a new one. I have never received this check. Other things to be wary of They will tell you that they only have 1 key for the vehicles. I have seen other posts about this same issue in which they will have multiple keys or promise multiple keys, and only give you one meaning that you will have to pay out of pocket for additional keys which can be extremely expensive depending on how high tech your car is. The detail is not a $350 detail. They try to make it seem like they are looking out for you and providing you the best care. It’s a lie. It’s a $50 detail that you get at the car wash. There have been other posts about how Nas is the sales manager but attempts to push things off on some unk

Pat the Sales Guy, convinced me to buy the car. I tried to negotiate but he convinced me that I am getting best deal and the fact is I got the best deal. So now, I am adding this part to my review after a month of purchase. The Car came with one key which I had no idea, it was reveled by the sales man during negotiation. He was charging me $999 as dealer charges which everyone does and $899 as reconditioning fee which I've never seen anyone charging and he was very adamant about it but still it was a good deal. So I asked him what are you offering in the deal, then he said he'll give me another key. I was like what would I do with an extra key. So he was like 2 keys are always better. I was amazed that this vehicle comes with one key and this guy is giving me second key as a part of deal but anyways I was like ok. So on the invoice they increased vehicle price by $899 dollars which should be part of reconditioning fee column, this means the price advertised and price on invoice became different. means they cannot show reconditioning fee on the records. Now, I called them after one month when the temporary registration expired that when will I get new tags. Title guy was like we called you to get the state inspection done but I never received any call, no text, no email, no voice mail, these guys should attend classes for effective communication. Then he said that he'll send me letter and check to go to DMV and I can go get tags and along with the letter he'll send me second key as promised. and this is what I got. This is my 5 car and worst ever experience. Guys please refrain from this dealership or if you want to go there be ready for lies, lies and lies. PS: Sales guy begged me to give a good Review and I gave him 5 stars in the greed of second key and greed is not good because this is what you got. I wish google allows 0 stars.
