My 2007 Chevy HHR LT was taken in by the body shop here the week of March 21, 2022. It was minor damage, but definitely needed to be repaired. I feel Jim R went above and beyond to work with the insurance company and find a creative solution, I'm very happy about that outcome, as they were a little difficult at first. Not to mention that my car looked like new and beautiful when I went to pick it up.

Traveling to AZ from northern MN, had a DEF service notice show on the dash while going thru St. Paul. Called OMC and the service rep said bring it in. They checked our Ram 3500 for codes, consulted the diesel tech, and gave reconditions to proceed. No work was done, no charge for time taken and electronics used for diagnosis. We continued on feeling well treated and soundly advised. They are good people.

Went to Owatonna Motors to get a key made for a Ford...

Went to Owatonna Motors to get a key made for a Ford Escape. Was told they had 4 keys in stock but I had to go to service. In service I was told I had to go to parts. After explaining that parts sent me to him he got on his computer and said they could do it in 8 days. After further explaining that it was my daughters car and I had it now and wouldn't in 8 days I was told they couldn't help me. I went down the street to Batteries Plus where it was done in 5 minutes for a lot less money. Never going to Owatonna Motors for service again!

We had been doing business with Owatonna Motors for years and the past 3 times our family has done business with them we have had major issues and false promises. Its almost like they suck you in and spit you out! Failed promises from sales people up to the General Manager. Made promises but wouldnt put in writing for you. Pricing-Payments changed once it got down to doing a deal. In todays world and the toughness to find a new vehicle to fit your needs they dont seem to care if they give good customer service, its all about the sale, if you dont buy someone else will today or tomorrow. Very sad as our family members have been going here for years but after the past few years of false claims and broken promises we are no longer giving them our business. Truly sad! Service-Maintenance dept. has been great over the years that was a plus. We gave them multiple opportunities and after the latest bad experience dealing with sales and management we are done.

No pressure, knowledgeable sales associates. Very clean building and friendly staff. Several financings options were made available to me. Sales and finance went over all the paperwork with me and offered options to fit my needs.

Bait and Switch - False Advertising

Bait and switch or just plain false advertising. Vehicle advertised for $53,000. Made an appointment the day before then drove over an hour (one way) to see the vehicle. Once I got there they claimed they made a mistake and the actually price is $62,000. Wasted 3 hours and half a tank of gas. They also claim to be a no haggle dealership but then low balled my trade in. If I could block a dealership from searches...this would be the one.

I bought a brand new truck from Mike Hamilton today and it couldn't have been a smoother experience. I did extensive research and had exact prices I wanted for the new truck, my trade in, and an out the door price and when the supervisor came out with his out the door price we were within $500 of what I wanted. I got a very fair price, the transaction was extremely fast and smooth, and they found even more rebates that I could which lowered the price. Definitely recommend.
