My overall experience personally with North Bay Imports 81 S Main St East Windsor, CT 06088 United States is very disappointing. I will elaborate more below. First off let’s touch base on their communication skills. Jackson was okay at it, I feel like I had to do most of the work to get a hold of him. That shouldn’t be the case. The Guest shouldn’t have to exhaust much effort at all to buy a car. Overall Jackson was an 6/10. Now let’s move forward to Jon Pighetti General Sales Manager. Jon was very argumentative, poor at communicating, and very arrogant in my opinion. I will admit that I do not know everything, however I own 4 Audis at this point, and I do all work by myself on these vehicles including suspension. I don’t know proper terminology for certain parts on the vehicles, however I know what needs to be fixed and what is needed to fix them. Jon and his service manager( I don’t recall the name of) were very argumentative about what terminology I used and how I was wrong. Let me elaborate; I fly from Albuquerque New Mexico to inspect a 2017 Audi A5 Prestige Vin WAUD2AFR6HA001812. I was informed by Jackson that if I wanted to drive the vehicle away they would need to coordinate this to get the vehicle ready(North Bay Imports doesn’t service their vehicle at all that they see until they are sold, nor do they fix anything that needs to be addressed in order to make the cars road ready for example a valve cover sealant/gasket.) Jackson had a day off after New Years so I spoke to someone on the phone Monday January 3rd 2022. Again Jackson wasn’t there so I told the man I spoke with the situation and he just didn’t take it serious enough that I was actually going to fly to CT to North Bay Imports to buy this vehicle if it could pass my inspection. This person assumed that I was just going to fly all that way just to “look” at the car. Well long story short Jackson called me Tuesday January 4th 2022 and confirmed with me that I was just coming to “look” I told Jackson that I’m not just coming to “look” as myself and Jackson discussed over a phone call a week prior to my arrival. Jackson urged me to reschedule the flight however I booked it because I have them a 3 day notice that I was coming to inspect the 2017 Audi A5. Apparently North Bay Imports needs more that 1 week to get their “certified “ vehicle ready. These Vehicles are not certified in anyway, they use this as a marketing term in my personal opinion to which I’m entitled to. So I get to North Bay imports on January 5th 2022 get my own rental car because they didn’t have people to pick myself up fromBDL which is fine but if someone is going to take the time out of their live to come to your dealership, it’s best business practice to accommodate someone that took that time. I get there and I do my inspection. The car looked beautiful in the photos online. It looked pretty in person too, however after a thorough inspection of the vehicle ( I’m not a certified mechanic) however once again I know these cars like the back of my hand. I noticed and took photos of the valve cover gasket/sealant seeping/ leaking oil. This is NOT how the vehicle is supposed to be, especially for a “certified “ vehicle. I noticed that the front control arms bushings upper and lower rearward arms on both the passenger and driver side of the 2017 Audi A5 were cracked. This is an indication that replacement is needed. Per Audi of America there is not a set service interval that control arms need, it is whenever they fail. A cracked bushing is an indication of failure. The lower rearward control arm bushings on either side were cracked and showing seepage of the hydraulic fluid in these bushings. You will see this in the photos below taken before North Bay Imports could take their own photos and attempt to clean it just to say they aren’t failing. These control arms looked in my personal opinion to be the original control arms that the vehicle came with. Point is they lied and they continued to lie through the whole experience. Hire a 3rd party inspector if you buy a vehicle from North Bay.

I just picked up my 2019 A6 from Northbay Imports today. The process with getting fianced through the dealership was awesome and they got me an amazing rate that i wasn't expecting. I must say buying from Northbay was 100x easier then buying from a major dealer. The process was more personable and hassel free. When I picked up the car it was detailed filled and ready for me to hit the road. I must say I didn't expect much from a mom and pop shop but they blew me away with this experience. I recommmend this dealership to anyone who was a hassel free amazing experience

I just picked up my 2019 A6 from Northbay Imports today. The process with getting fianced through the dealership was awesome and they got me an amazing rate that i wasn't expecting. I must say buying from Northbay was 100x easier then buying from a major dealer. The process was more personable and hassel free. As an out-of-state buyer on a high-end car, to me, trust in the dealer was as or more important than the car itself. After reading the reviews, I was immediately comfortable making the call about the Porsche I was looking nationwide for. From my initial discussion with Jackson in sales to the post-sale with Chris in service, communication and execution were flawless. I flew into Hartford and was on the road back to Cleveland in an hour. Amazing. I discovered an issue with the top sticking in the ¾ position and Chris told me to take it to my local Porsche dealer when I got back home and he would make payment arrangements. True to his words, the repair was already paid for when I went in to pick up the car. Special shout out to all the folks at North Bay Imports for a wonderful customer experience. You have earned not only my business but my respect as well. Thank you all, Bob Snider

**UPDATE TO REVIEW BELOW*** When I got home from purchased realized the second key and owners manual was missing. Emailed Dave the owner, in less than 48 hours, I received a FEDEX package with the key and owners manual binder! No hassle, no fuss, no run around or BS! I’m 42 years old have purchased several cars, there is no comparison! WOW PHENOMENAL!! To say I was impressed with North Bay is an understatement! Let's start from the beginning. I have been looking for a cabriolet 2018 Audi S5 Cabriolet for at least a month, either they were sold by the time the dealer got to me or the price wasn't right. I saw that North Bay had a few on their lot(which is unheard of) and I contacted them about a particular S5 Premium Plus. It was after hours and they got back to me next day, and we began the process. From the pictures, the car looked immaculate, low miles, off lease and a fantastic price. As I work and live in NY and they are in CT, I was looking to do the deal online. I contacted many dealerships outside of my area that would only talk to me if I drove to their dealer, some as far as Virginia. Being out of state was no problem from the team at North Bay. Put in a credit app online and they went to work to make the deal work. My credit has some dings and this was going to be third vehicle that we financed. A lot of banks wanted us to trade in one of the vehicles but we were looking to have three, as my son needed a car and we were going to be gifting him one of the cars. I don't know what or how they did it, but they were able to not only find a bank willing to accept the terms but the rate was very agreeable. Gave me a call and email on a Saturday to tell me the deal was done. Again, like no dealer I have ever dealt with, they asked for no deposit and started to prep the car for pick up! They put the car through their shop, full check up, and even put on a set of BRAND NEW, HIGH END tires! We drove up to CT from Long Island, NY to pick up the car on a Saturday am. Since we purchased the car sight on seen, it was the first time being at the dealer and seeing the car. Timmy and the team immediately welcomed us, had the detailed car bought around with temp plates for us to drive before taking care of the paperwork! The car was beautifully detailed and in absolute phenomenal shape, it looked like it just came of the factory line. Timmy took us through the pay work, and it was seamless! No high pressure add on nonsense, just a small dealer fee(which wouldn't even cover the cost of new tires on this particular car) and we added GAP insurance. Less than 40 minutes, in and out with a beautiful S5 cabriolet! This place is what a car buying experience should be, especially with cars at this price point! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a late model luxury vehicle that is perfect condition, low miles, great price with ZERO HASSELE OR dealer BS! Timmy is a great dude and the rest of the guys in the office were also great! It's the happiest I've ever seen people watching me take the car home, it was awesome! GET HERE TO GET THE PERFECT CAR! I'll be back without a doubt!!

I called to schedule an appointment to see two cars and potentially buy them I got some stupid policy to basically buy the car first and then you can test drive the car. I've been to three other dealerships and they do not have this policy. Give me a break!!

Thanks for taking the time to write this review Tony. It gives us a fair opportunity to relay what actually happened. At no point did we tell you that you need to purchase a car before you can test drive it. Needless to say, it would be difficult for us to have grown to be one of the highest-rated and highest-volume late model German car dealers in the country under those circumstances. What did happen however is that after we went over our simple, reasonable policies that are intended in good faith to keep our inventory sanitary and staff safe, your response was that (quote) "Covid is a hoax", and that we are "pathetic' and can "go to he11". Regardless of any opinion on this subject, personal attacks towards our staff do not fly here.

My wife and I recently purchased an Audi at North Bay Imports and would highly recommend this dealer. We are from central CT and looked at similar vehicles at dealers along the shoreline and in the Hartford area and found the quality above and prices to be below all others. Everything was done contactless from the initial viewing to the final transaction making it an extremely smooth process during trying times.
