Do not buy here!!!!
DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE HERE!!!! This place will mislead you every step of the way. I’ve bought two Jeep’s from this, if mistake going back a year later for another. These are the issues I’ve had with them and their horrible customer service in less than a year: 1. After bringing my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee home I noticed bubbling/corrosion in the paint on the hood. Did not notice it on the test drive. They originally told me nothing they can do about it. After speaking to the manager I mentioned to him this vehicle is still under Chrysler warranty. Still waiting after three weeks to hear back if I will be getting a new hood. Should’ve taken care of me without me having to fight tooth and nail and do my own research about the warranty. Still no guarantee I will get it replaced under warranty. 2. 2 months after buying the 2017 grand Cherokee I noticed the antifreeze level going down substantially in reservoir. Went to a shop and was quoted $900 water pump repair. The Lafontaine manager said they would only cover engine related issues after purchase, not sure how this was not an engine component and they could help me two months after spending over 20k on the Jeep. Zero help on this issue. After replacing water pump still have the level going from max to min in less than a month but can’t find the leak anywhere and no drops on driveway. 3. Took the 2016 vehicle into the service department after having some headlight issues after changing the lightbulb. Was quoted $800 for a new headlight module manifold. Repeatedly asked them to check the light bulb if it was loose but they wouldn’t even do that for me and insisted that wasn’t it. After finally reaching with my big arm I was able to tighten the bulb and found out it indeed was loose. Basically would’ve spent near a grand for nothing. 4. Was sold a tire and rim protection plan for the 2017 grand Cherokee. Was told if any issues with the tire at all I could come in and get a new tire. It sounded nice so I went with it. After exactly 5 months of having the vehicle I got a nail in the tire and took it in. The service department said the other 3 tires were good, but the tread on this tire was below the 3/32nd thread level to get me a new tire. Had no idea about this before and wasn’t told about this upon being sold the plan. The plan sales person was unaware of this stipulation. If they had good customer service they would’ve helped me anyway, but NOPE! Any issue I’ve ever had with the two vehicles I’ve gotten from them I’ve left more frustrated and not helped, feeling like I got played like a fiddle. STAY AWAY!!! Zero stars If I could

Glen was my sales associate. He was very helpful about the vehicle I wanted. He's very kind and thoughtful. I would buy another car from him.
Biggest Mistake of my life
Instead of the family deal they promised we got the biggest rip off ever. I blame myself for trusting them. I would never ever go back to them. Be smarter than I was, go somewhere else to buy or lease a car.
Proceed with caution when working with Lafontaine Saline. Lafontaine hired Greg Semack to sell vehicles as a broker through them. Greg is a liar and a thief and has cost me thousands of dollars. Lafontaine will not take any responsibility for Mr. Semack’s actions and has left me to try to recover money owed to me on my own.
Hi there, we would like to get some more details this. Please reach out to our General Manager, Kris MacKinnon, at (734) 429-9431 or firstname.lastname@example.org . We look forward to hearing from you.
A bad experience all the way around...
We first went to the Lafountaine dealership in Saline to look at a 2018 Dodge Ram pickup. The price of the vehicle was listed as $23,600 per the advertisement. Without the salesperson (Anthony) telling us the vehicle price was changed to $24,500. Later on after purchasing the truck we were told this was allegedly changed in order for us to have the mfr. warranty. This made no sense to us. Then, when we went into the finance ofc. to review our figures and sign documents (e.g., down payment, monthly payment to credit union, etc.) NO figures were explained to us. We left with the truck and after reviewing the paperwork (AT HOME) we realized that we were charged $995 for GAP insurance that we never asked for, was optional, and we didn't want. We returned to the dealership to have the GAP cancelled. We were told the money had to go toward our loan at Community Credit Union. A month later the credit union still did not have the money. After calling the credit union again today we find out that the dealership only sent $423. We called the dealership, after having three ph calls from last week not returned, and learned the Accounting Dept. person, Michelle, did not have any reason why the $995 was not sent to the credit union. However, she said she was sending the remainder of the money, $572, to Community Choice Credit Union. Also, we had to return to the dealership three times to get the second key which seemed to be missing. A new key had to be cut while we waited a few hours. All in all, this dealership will never have any of our business again.
Be careful when using Greg Semack their outside re
Nothing but problems with Greg Semack at Lafontaine Saline. He is their outside says rep and I found I could not trust him at all. I brought it to the attention of the manager and he did absolutely nothing to help and did not care that their outside sales person was dishonest. I will never do business with them.

Used car purchase nightmare
On February 6th 2019, I took delivery of a 2014 Chevrolet Impala from LaFontaine. I traveled from Florida to Michigan. This purchase was all internet contact prior to delivery date. I was in contact with Frank Stark during the entire process from the initial inquiry about this vehicle to the financing. Prior to actually purchasing the vehicle I ran a car fax report and the report revealed an issue which I contacted Frank about. It showed a “body damage” reported incident. Frank told me it was a minor “dent” that was repaired. I asked Frank once again was the vehicle involved in an accident and he told me no, only a small dent repaired. After test driving the vehicle prior to taking delivery all seamed well. Once I left the dealership and began a trip to Illinois I noticed several issues with the car. The Side detection system was not working and after a stop for gas, I noticed the drivers front door and drivers side rear door keyless buttons were not working. Passenger side was fine. I arrived at my destination the next day. I googled the issues and all stated that it was a module issue. It stated either caused by corrosion or at times if the rear bumper was repaired usually the body shop never reset or replaced the module. The following morning I went into the glovebox. Inside the glovebox I found paperwork from the previous owner, yes all financial documents, within the glovebox. Also found in this packet was a body repair document from July 2018. This car was involved in an accident in June 2018 and the entire drivers side of the vehicle and rear bumper was replaced. Total accident repair $3,712.00. Remember I was told by Frank, only a small dent Was repaired when I questioned him following the car fax report. I immediately called Frank and told him about the two issues I found after leaving the dealership on the 6th, then I confronted him about the paperwork in the glovebox. Frank paused after I told him about the collision paperwork I found and I told him this was quite upsetting after he reassured me the damage was only a dent repair. I told Frank that the two issues with this car absolutely are related to the body damage now. Frank told me the dealership would take care of the two issues once I got back to Florida. Well guess what, I have left Frank five voicemails, six text messages, the dealership three emails for someone to contact me and as of this posting nothing. I will be researching my legal options with my attorney and thank god I have kept all the correspondences with this dealership. (Thank you LaFontaine for leaving the paperwork in the glovebox I’m sure by mistake) Great evidence. This was an absolute fraud now I’m stuck with the repairs. Stay away from this dealership!!!
Prompt & knowledgwble
Prompt & knowledgeable service, Lucy was friendly & followed up prior to the sales with various options and after the sale she also contacted me to confirm I was happy
3 weeks still haven't received our spare key
We had a horrible experience with Olivia Layton I truly believe she is underqualified for this job and belongs flipping burgers at McDonald's her lack of professionalism and incompetence have truly appalled me. She was down right rude and insulting to my husband still has yet to apologize and 3 weeks after purchasing the car we still dont have the spare key she couldnt locate the day of the sale. I have reached out on multiple levels and have still not received an apology for her being nasty to my husband. She is lacking in customer service skills and the appropriate knowledge to buy and sell cars. The finance department was great and the only saving grace for lafontaine as a whole.
Horrible experience - Olivia Layton
We purchased a car from Olivia Layton who is extremely inexperienced and ever since the sale was finalized she has been rude and insulting to my husband I have reported it to the manager who has yet to address the issue. They couldnt find the spare key for the car and 3 weeks later we still dont have the spare key to the brand new car. I would never go to this dealer again.
