Not a good purchase experience
Highly dissatisfied with the overall purchase process of the vehicle. Lack consistency and good customer service. Try to avoid this place at all cost. A car is an investment, an investment that you should be happy with, and not regret.
Nightmare experience
I had a nightmare experience with King Kia. Sales manager James Sicuro made and broke promises, costing me countless hours trying to resolve (and ultimately cost me hundreds of extra dollars in the car purchase). Questions about improperly completed forms were disregarded and I later found out that the paperwork was illegitimate and had to be fully redone (costing yet more time and more money). I ended up having to take care of tags etc. myself. One employee genuinely tried to help resolve the mess that others created, but the dealership overall lacked integrity and competency. Avoid this dealership completely.
False advertisement
Prices advertised on the cars.com is purposefully wrong and lower by thousands of dollars as compared to their own website. This scam is done in order to attract leads. Its a honey trap, and an immoral practice. If they employ dishonest practicew to attract customers, i bet they will trick and lie to get you buy a car.
I will always go to King Kia for future cars!
The Sales Consultant, Jose, was so helpful and went out of his way to provide exactly what I was looking for at Kia. The Sales Manager, Nan, and the Finance Manager, Shane, were also stellar in customer service and very personable.
If you're in desperate need.. ask for Paul.
First and foremost, Paul is an AMAZING salesman. If you choose to step foot in this establishment and fork over your hard earned cash, make sure it's with him. He'll make sure you're taken care of and respected in your decision making. That being said, sales managers leave something to be desired. By "something", I mean basic human decency. My husband and I bought a Sportage from their sister location is Laurel, MD (fantastic location - ask for Steve!) and when mentioning that I was interested in a K5 he sent me over to Gaithersburg because they had a few in stock. We went in with a Carmax offer on our trade-in car, and the sales manager "just couldn't believe the price". Mind you, the trade in car was under a year old so I'm not sure what was so unbelievable. We were advised to get a physical offer (ie: on a piece of paper vs an email) from Carmax after they reviewed the car and see if the offer dropped and "then they'd come close to their offer". Fair enough! My husband went the very next day and we got a confirmation of the value of our car. Came back to the Kia location, different sales manager wouldn't budge at all with their low-ball trade-in offer. When I asked if what they were offering was their firm number, he scoffed and said Carmax's offer was "fluff" and "what he was offering was a real number". A real number to the tune of close to $3k less than what Carmax was offering. Paul was gracious and played a very understanding and kind middle-man in all of this, explaining taxes and what the process would be between trading in with them vs Carmax. Sales manager? Completely rude and dismissive... until he found out we bought another car that same week with their sister dealer location. Came back with a slightly higher offer and a change in his tone. Figures. Also kept aiming the conversation to my husband, despite the car being for me..and I was the one asking questions. Quite honestly? If it wasn't for Paul being our sales guy (and being super helpful), we would have walked based on how we were treated by the sales managers at this location. Chip shortages won't last forever, and then actual customer service will have to be a skill again. Spend money where you're respected.
Great Team! Ask for Hugo!
Hugo, Nan, and Alex are an outstanding team to work with. Thank you for making a negative situation with my old car a positive experience with your team and my new vehicle.
Just terrible.
Called dealership for a 2022 Sportage. I was told the model we wanted was at the location BUT it was being used as a service vehicle and was not available. They are using it to ferry service customers back and forth. Then they said we have to keep it posted as for sale. Huh?
Friendly Service Staff
Go and see Bill Buckley in Service at King Kia. He was not only courteous on the phone but also when I went to drop my car off. It seemed that everyone at the dealership is going an extra mile to earn and give respect.
Truly Outstanding!
I can't say enough good things about my experience dealing with everyone I came in contact with at King Kia, from the beginning of my interactions online and by phone with Willy and Ruben, through my meeting them in person with the addition of Nan and Michelle helping to finalize the transaction. I characterize the whole experience as fair, honest, transparent, respectful, professional, and then some. Having researched and been in contact with multiple dealers in preparation for this purchase, none of those interactions came anywhere close to my experience. They truly are outstanding!
Best purchase experience EVER!
I just bought my Sorento Plug-In after months of trying to find and purchase one. Paul made the process quick and easy. We did the entire deal over email/text/phone, and I had 2 trades!! I spent less than an hour at the dealership to pick up my brand new amazing ride! Straight forward, no BS purchase. I cannot recommend Paul and King Kia enough. Thank you!
