Don’t pay the “Stupid Tax”

Went in to see “in person” and perhaps drive or at least ride in an Ionic 5 ev. Before being allowed behind the wheel, I was required to sign a form, the jist of which was that I was ok with paying about $5000 over MSRP!!! I have a reservation deposit for one of these which I purchased in June of last year. Though I have yet to be notified of the availability of a configuration close to my choice, I certainly hope that Hyundai of Venice isn’t the “authorized dealer” my car is assigned to. Oh, one other item. They offered me only half of what my potential trade is selling for on lots in this area!

Went to dealership to buy an in demand but in stock car. Actual price to buy was $4000 over their MSRP written on their website. Plus, dealer fee added. I was told it was “adjusted market value” and it couldn’t be found lower nearby. You decide if you want to pay way over MSRP.

Wasted tons of time trying to get a car there. Not only do I feel the entire process was a sham of some kind the salesman flirted with me the entire car ride to and from the dealership. Called me a milf a gilf and made me feel so extremely uncomfortable. I tried to laugh it off adding it up to him being a man. But truthfully it was offensive, disgusting and creepy. I cant even stand to think of that dealership. I ended up not buying and I am sooo glad. I feel lucky to get my deposit back. I am deeply disturbed by this. I lost total faith in car salesmen that day

Old school aggressive sales tactics from the sales manager - left and got a better price and trade in value from another hyundai dealer. Would not deal with again.

Horrible sales manager Jay Hoffman

Had vehicle in for 5-6 times to fix the $750 repair on my Hyundai, looked to possibly trade, Jay Hoffman, rudest man EVER, my treatment was HORRIBLE, now I have to unhook my battery cable every night so the "fixed alarm" does not wake up the neighborhood.
