Ryan was a tremendous help -- a guide, really. I needed his expertise and what he showed me is that it's not about the car, necessarily, it's about the person. Every move we made was driven by what I needed and wanted, what my expectations and requirements (and worries and fears) were, not a need to sell a car. When expectations and fears collide, it's only a really good salesperson that can help you sort that out and match you with the right short or long term solution. Ryan's a _really good salesperson_ in the way we should be understanding what that means: taking the time to listen, so that he can find a solution that is appropriate for the person who's come to him for help.

Hocine is the best . . . will look out for you!

Go see Hocine and you won't be disappointed. Although it took 3 months to receive my new Ridgeline (not the dealership's fault), Hocine (and the dealership) honored the price with no game playing. Same with selling them my prior Ridgeline (with 160k miles and needing several repairs). A great price (new Bluebook) and no smogging needed. I'm a very happy customer.

different than buying cars in the past

Very different buying a car during an inventory shortage. Overall a positive experience, but I'm not a fan of mandatory dealer add-ons such as LoJack. Also there was a related issue that one of the interior panels of the car was not reattached properly after the LoJack installation. After discovering this, I had to bring the car back in for repair and wait 3 hours for this to be resolved (I was led to believe this would be a very quick repair).

When you don't check my credit score and try to push a 4.9% loan rate, when you keep my current car key hostage behind your counter after you look at it, WHEN YOU DEMAND AN ENTIRE DOWN PAYMENT UP FRONT ON A BUILD & SHIP VEHICLE when it's standard policy in your industry to ask for a fraction of that as a deposit ($500-$1,000 confirmed at Mini of Concord, Toyota and Honda of Walnut Creek,) when you ask for the title to my car TODAY when there's nothing on the lot, when you don't offer a test drive or ask if there are any additional features I want, I'm gonna leave. Even when you take your time giving me my KEY back to see if I'm going to change my mind. And then I'm going to call Honda of Walnut Creek, who immediately gave me the price of the car, clear financing, and a confirmation that they charge $500 for a deposit on a car they need to build & order. I'm test driving with them tomorrow, and not only will I never come back to your busted dealership, I will warn everyone I know that you try to fleece people out of absurd amounts of cash AND keep their vehicles hostage during the process. There's standard car dealership shadiness - yes, you have to push for trade-in value and loan rates and I get it, and I did! - and then there's this behavior. Ricky, you were very nice, thanks for setting up the apt. Bonus, though: they clearly didn't know I was coming. LOL.

Started with good ended bad-different salesman

While some Salesperson being very nice and professional; some are not results losing customers for good. I have been yelled at by a salesperson at the end of a negotiation by telling I wasted their time, and didn’t tell everything up front such as I’m paying cash or credit. As far as I know it’s best practice to discuss the price first; then disclose the payment method you are interested. It started as a good experience which ended unexpectedly having a salesperson literally yelling and blaming you for not telling them everything up front. Score 0 for attitude. Disappointed very much! I had in mind to renegotiate later but not anymore!
