I purchased a 2011 Jeep Wrangler at Fox Hills in February of this year and have had nothing but issues with the Jeep since. When I traveled from Chicago to test drive the Jeep, the CEL came on (code indicated issue with EGR valve). When I inquired about this, I was told something to the effect of: a repair was done in the area of the EGR valve which caused it to open and that it would be taken care of 😒. Now of course this was a red flag and I was aware he was lying because I previously owned a Wrangler for 4 years. However, I decided to go through with the purchase since I’m familiar with the repair (had it replaced on previous Jeep) and knew it wasn’t too expensive. To “take care of it,” the service department simply turned off the CEL 😒. Sure enough it came RIGHT back on the second day of owning it. Finally spent $300 to get it fixed the other day. For that alone I don’t recommend this dealer. However, there’s more. A couple months later, the horn stops to work in all aspects (when panic button/ center steering wheel is pressed and when locking the Jeep). Never experienced this w/ previous Wrangler that was older. Haven’t even begun to delve into this issue and get a quote etc. because of everything else on my plate but WAIT, there’s more. A couple weeks ago as I’m driving, I notice a screeching/ grinding noise when braking and accelerating. Again, never experienced this w/ previous Wrangler that was older. At the moment I thought, SURELY it can’t be the pads/ rotors because the dealer told me they were replaced earlier this year. Fast forward, I get a diagnosis and quote: $940 to replace the sticking front, left caliper (causing the issue), right caliper and pads/ rotors on both sides. I was hesitant about this dealer because I saw the reviews on other sites about their questionable dealings; however, I didn’t follow my intuition. Here to help the next person. I purchased a 2007 Jeep Wrangler from another Jeep dealer, had it for FOUR years and never went through a FRACTION of this trouble. I’ve owned this Jeep for all of 5 months. Dishonest people/ practices truly are the worst but I believe in karma. I wouldn’t recommend Fox Hills to a soul unless they have copious amounts of money to waste. Shameful. The one star is simply for the fact they drove the Jeep to me which I appreciated.

The people at Fox Hills Chrysler Jeep are kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about finding you the right car to fit your needs. We were helped by the wonderful Rick Sanford. He made us feel comfortable and welcome from the very beginning, turning a normally nerve-racking experience into an easy and fun one. Due to our schedule restraints, it took us multiple days to find a car that we loved. Rick worked entirely around our schedule and was so patient and understanding the entire time, walking us through the process, and making sure we found something that fit our family and our price range. He truly went above and beyond for us and I know he’ll do the same for you. I highly recommend Fox Hills, and especially Rick, for your car buying needs.

Have dealt with many dealers in my 73 years. I was treated with curtesy and politeness which was a wonderful change. My service provider, AUSTA was wonderful to me and another customer. She made sure to keep me abreast of the progress with my car. The other customer was not sure where she needed to go and Austa ran a search to tell the woman exactly how to get to her destination. Just total customer satisfaction!!! Try it, you will love it. cordially dan vasiloff

This was a great transaction. I live about 250 miles away and we did this deal over the phone. The car was advertised very accurately. It was detailed very well and they even filled up the gas tank. Thank you for the friendly service and making this easy.

Being dishonest won’t win you business...

The dealership’s pre-owned sales people are dishonest and disrespectful of their customer’s time and money. I went in first thing in the morning to test drive and spoke with Gary Ferris. I offered to leave a deposit on the vehicle I was interested in, because I was going to come back later in the day to drive it again and make the purchase. I told him I was a cash buyer. I was told “No, it’s not necessary. The vehicle will be here.” When I spoke with him on the phone at 2:30 PM he said the vehicle was still available and that the email that I received saying it sold was “not true” and that “The new car sales people don’t know what they are talking about”. This should’ve been a red flag for me. I went to my bank and had my check drawn up. I was ready to make a purchase. I went into the dealership again at 5:30 PM. Gary was not there so I spoke with Anthony, who told me that the vehicle was sold at 1:00 PM, 1.5 hours prior to my phone conversation with Gary. When I expressed my frustration he literally laughed at me and said “What did you expect? You didn’t put a deposit down.” I told Anthony that I had offered to do so earlier in the day and he said “Do you know how many people tell us they are going to purchase and never come back?” And then continued to chuckle at me. There is no way that I would give the dealership my business after my experience. I’ve worked in management for years. If your sales people are dishonest and can’t respect their co-workers or their customers, it may be time to let them go.

I certainly see why they are a 1.6, worst experience in my life trying to buy a Jeep. Had one picked out until the pandemic threw us for a long loop and then today I had the price I wanted but they wanted me to rush in and I needed time to check another place. I then tell them I will be in tomorrow at 9am and they “lie” and tell me the Jeep is sold, haha. So in the middle of a stay at home order with a pandemic someone in an hour bought that Jeep and took it home, yeah right. So they proceeded to lie to me and got very upset I wanted to check another dealership. The customer service was beyond horrible as well as the lies they tried to feed me. Warning you all, horrible experience and they can’t be trusted!!! You’ve been warned. Dick Scott, way more pleasant to deal with and it’s right up the road.

I never expected it to be so easy to buy a car in a pandemic. Great responsiveness over the phone and texts. This was my first lease, they walked me through different options and I got a very fair trade in

Don’t.

Called about a vehicle that was listed on many sites such as this, inquired about said vehicle in afternoon prior to seeing it, was told if anything changed I would be contacted. Arrived the following morning to find the vehicle I had just driven over an hour to see had been sold. This vehicle is still listed on all of these sites and Carfax shows the vehicle had been purchased before I even contacted the dealer. Anything to get your foot in the door seems to be their method. As stated above, don’t.
