BUYER REALLY BE AWARE!!!!!
I have purchased over 100 vehicles in my lifetime for personal pleasure; 4 in the past year. I have never been more disappointed in a dealership in my life. I purchased a vehicle 3 weeks ago and had to return for repairs the first day. They merely turned alarm light off and it continued to run and performance was poor. I appealed to my salesman and asked about their return policy about 4 days later. He said there was none anywhere in the state of Florida. I know for a fact that is not true. Feeling stuck I appealed to the manager in charge of the office who, in typical used car salesman fashion had to check with his manager, Never called me back when he said (said he forgot) and called back the next day. He indicated that his manager said they did not need any more trucks and could not use it. Mind you this is a company that was exposing the virtue of this quality truck just a couple of weeks ago. In checking with others, it appears that the reason is they had severely overcharged me for the sales cost and could not take it back, even at a reduced cost, for the loss they would incur. I will continue to purchase a lot more cars, as I have always done, but I assure you they wont be from Florida Auto Exchange. In this age of vast disappointments in our American way of life its a shame that there are those still willing to take advantage of the average citizen. Truly BUYER BE AWARE when dealing with these folk.
Liars and Cheats
Brought my car in for new brakes, already a $200 job, then was called with news there was damage and I would need to spend another $300. They claimed there had been "welding" and tried to worry me that I would not be able to brake properly if they did not fix it. My father is a mechanic so I declined this "fix" and brought my car to him instead, only to confirm there was no damage whatsoever. As a young female they thought they would be able to fool me and I shudder to think how many others they have shamelessly extorted this way. They should all be ashamed.
Dr. Credit Comes Through Again
Just bought another car from FL Auto Exchange. Between personal and business combined, I'm sure I've purchased more than 10 cars here, and always been satisfied. This one was for my Marine stepson who has now driven it to New York for his new assignment. While test driving, we noticed the air blew warm sometimes. We asked them to check it out before completing the sale. They could have filled the fluid and it would have worked for a while, but they discovered the problem was with the compressor and fixed it at no additional charge. Thank you Dr. Credit! DW
Worst car dealership
This is by far the worst place to purchase a car. They dont care about you as a person. Their number priority is money and ripping people off. Especially jeff Rhodes. He is a complete jerk and disrespectful human being if you want to call him that
Thanks again, Jason, for working out a good deal for us. This is my third purchase from Jason: the second one was not a huge winner, but you took it back as trade-in. The first time they sent someone to pick me up in Tarpon Springs to get a car because mine died. Jason rolled over every roadblock that came up on this third purchase. So far, so great!!
I purchased a 2007 Chevy Tahoe (previously owned by the former mayor of Dunedin) in December of 2017 at Florida Auto Exchange. Despite the negative reviews online and feedback that I had received from others. The experience went well and I left happy with my truck. Fast forward 22 months. We recently revisited their showroom looking to trade in my Tahoe due to some mechanical issues that were arising. We spoke with Jason, the salesman that I dealt with in the past. We explained that the truck was having some issues and were very upfront on this fact. He stated that they we needed to have the truck diagnosed regardless in order to determine if it would be an easy fix or if we would be trading it in and what the value would be. He asked if we could bring it in to their service center for a diagnostic check. My wife immediately asked "How much is that going to cost?". Jason replied "we will take care of it". I set an appointment for 8:00 am the following morning. I brought my truck in and Chet, the service adviser, took it in to be diagnosed. About an hour and a half later Chet comes out to tell me that that their technician broke one of my starter wires during the diagnosis because it was “dry rotted” and it would need to be repaired before they could complete the diagnosis. I was upset but kept my cool and explained to Chet that I brought it in to be diagnosed in order to determine whether or not I would be trading it in and that Jason told me the diagnosis would be free. SUCH WAS NOT THE CASE. The service department decided that they needed to do a compression test and did so without consulting me prior to beginning further testing. Chet explained that Jason does not have the authority to make that type of promise and called his boss. Whoever he spoke to offered to take an hour of labor off of the bill! I was like "Take an hour of labor off of a bill that should have never been?". At this point I am fuming! I drove the truck in there and now I can’t drive it out of there without the wiring intact. I was stuck having to pay $266, and 5 hours of my time, after being under the impression that I would walk out of there with a decision to make, either fixing it or trading it in, and no out of pocket expenses. The wires were replaced and I was informed that it was losing compression in the #3 cylinder. The loss of compression code that came up while hooking the truck to the diagnostic machine would have been enough for me to be able to make the determination. I then went over to the showroom VERY unhappy with the service bill in hand. We spoke with Jason again, who quickly tried to move away from our complaints about the service bill. He took full responsibility for promising a free diagnostic but tried to explain away why I had to pay for the wiring and labor that their service department broke. We then moved along to the possibility of trading it in. This is where Jason’s shady behavior continued. We start talking about a ford expedition that they have on their lot for $7,999. Jason was told that we do not want to put any money down. After all I have made EVERY payment on the current truck since purchase and have an EXCELLENT payment history according to their reports to the credit bureau. Jason then proceeds to tell me that even with me trading in the Tahoe I would need “a couple thousand dollars down”! He did not run my credit nor did he look at my payment history. Without another word I walked out and let my wife handle it. She has been in the car business for 20 years. She walked out of there less than 5 minutes after I did! I then visited my mechanic the following day and found that the diagnosis that was given by their service department was not entirely accurate and that the truck had a long history of misfire codes. Can’t believe the lack of care
Been going there for years, thought they were good people. Turns out they are like every other mechanic who looks at a female and thinks they can just up her bill by a couple of hundred dollars by feeding her some BS. Then when I try to discuss it with them like an adult they pass the buck, don’t even apologize for their misguidance, and have the nerve to take a phone call in the middle of the discussion. Never been so insulted by a company before. Won’t be recommending any more people to go there, as I have been for years. Wouldn’t trust their advice farther than I can throw them any of them.
Paula was fantastic, bought a Jeep for my daughter
Better buying process than lokey. I don’t think I would ever buy another low mile car from any one else . Best customer service ever. Thank you Paula . My daughter Sheyanna is over the moon with her 2014 Jeep .
Jason Nozicka was very helpful and made the whole process very easy for me. This is the 2nd time I bought a vehicle from him.
very bad service, dishonest and lied
charged me over 300. dollars to fix and they never fixed my car, drove it over 2000 miles and kept for 6 weeks, and kept telling me they were waiting for parts. Went by a number of times and saw my car was not on the lot every time I went by. I have video also of this and police report. The job is still not fixed. They never put in the part they said they were waiting for but told me it was fixed. Brought it back up to them and the manager said it was fixed, but when he saw it was not fixed he sent someone else out to deal with me and they keep lying to me and said they never took car of the lot. Also family member went by and said it was not there either. They should have just taken my car back and fixed it the way they promised, but to this day they have not.
