AWFUL SALES PEOPLE SELLING LEMONS

Eastside auto sales was absolute garbage to us. James was friendly but the other sales people there were incredibly rude and awful to work with. They sold us a lemon and then said they'd trade it in. When we got there, they bullied us into paying another $500 for the trade in knowing we didn't have many options on a student budget!!! ALSO, it is so statistically unlikely to have there be basically only 5 star and 1 star reviews and almost no 2s, 3s, and 4s that these reviews are ABSOLUTELY RIGGED TO MAKE THEM LOOK LESS TRASH THAN THEY ARE!

Bad car for too much money

I took a red 2001 VW Beetle to a reputable mechanic shop for pre-purchase inspection. There was over $5000 worth of problems with this car. When I returned the car to them, I provided the full report but they handed it back to me saying they didn't need it and nothing was wrong with the car!! This is scary as they are going to scam someone if they dont listen to reputable mechanics! For anyone who is buying a car from them: Do NOT just believe what they tell you! Get the vehicle checked out first!!

I was going to get a 2003 ford ranger xlt silver but ive hurd so many bad things about this dealership and that their cars are lemon cars...dont go here

I had a good experience with this dealer and in particular with Beau back in 16 when we bought my wife a car from them. So when I was looking for a specific vehicle and saw they had one, I contacted them. I spoke to Beau, reminded him I had purchased a car from him previously and asked about the vehicle I was interested in. That was Sat. night and the next day was Easter so they were closed. I told Beau, I am a retired mechanic so I do not mind minor repairs and regular maintenance, but I will know if there is something wrong with the car and I do not want a car with serious mechanical issues. He said, since you are a repeat customer and you are trusting me with your business, let me personally test drive the car on Mon and get back to you. He was solicitous and friendly, just like he had been before. I spoke to him on Mon and he told me the car was in excellent shape mechanically, and the only issue he raised was some paint deterioration on the hood. I told him I would be there the next day to test drive it and if it really is in good shape, I'll buy it on the spot, cash. We made an appointemnt for between noon and 1pm. It is a 6 hour round trip from my place to his dealership, so that was pretty much as early as I could get there. NO problems he said, see you then. I had to cancel some appointments, my wife had to cancel some appointments, and we had to get someone to come take care of our dogs while we were gone. We were on our way, about an hour into the drive and we called him to let him know we might be a bit late. Again, no problem, see you when you get here. Never any mention that there was any interest in this car, or suggestion we put a deposit on it to hold it. We did in fact make it by 1pm but Beau was at "the other lot". They said they called him and he was on his way over. Then the vehicle I am there for rolls into the yard. We wait a few minutes, waiting for Beau, while the other salesman is talkign to the guy who drive the vehicle in. Then I hear him telling the guy, we drive 3 hours to see it, if he wants it he'd better make the deal now. He says yes, and they fast walk him out of there to go sign papers and simply tell us oh sorry the car is sold. When we get upset they get rude, but they assure us Beau is on his way and we'll have to talk to him about this. I get suspicious and my wife calls Beau on her cell. No he is not on his way, in fact he says he isn't going to even come over unless we make a scene and demand it, unless he "has to" (his exact words). We get all sorts of well you didn't put a deposit on it, crap from him and the other salesmen. And a lot of, hey too bad sucker, attitude. The idea that when you make an appointment with someone driving 6 hours round trip to see a specific car, someone who is a repeat customer, that you should let them have a chance to test drive and buy the car and not sell it out from under them, seems totally foreign to these guys. And Beau knows they're in the wrong, he is hiding at the other lot and will not even face me. No admission that this was wrong or just that ti was poor customer service, no nothing. Their whole attitude was what's your problem buddy? (in fairness one of the salesmen did apologize to us privately and say that this was terrible customer service, but not the guy who used our interest and long drive to sell the car out from under us, and not my "bud" Beau. These guys have no integrity. They are dishonest, and they are the worst of what you think of when folks say used car salesman. My wife was furious, but I realized I had been saved from doing additional business with a company and person I would never willingly deal with now that I know what they are really like. I doubt Beau ever did drive the car. I consider myself very lucky that the first vehicle I bought from them, turned out to be a good car. I got lucky that

while i have not purchased from this company, still looking, i was impressed with the polite and straight forward emails i received in response to my inquiries. i was rear ended lately and am looking to either buy or get my old car repaired. Beau did not try to up sale or pressure me in any way. as the insurance company ended up totaling my car and i bought it back, i am still in the process of what to do. as soon as the settlement check arrives, this place will be on my radar.

Seen a truck on cars.com. Contacted the dealer (east side auto). Through email as I live 200+ miles from there lot. Ask a few questions about it and replies we're prompt and friendly. Inquired about financing. They took a little info from me and within a few minutes had me financed. Next day drove the 200+ miles to the dealership. Was met by dc who did an amazing job of getting us in and back on the road home. Would highly recommend checking them out and ask for D.C.

Called to inquire about best price on a vehicle from their website. The rep, he never gave his name, answered the phone with two words, "east side." Upon asking my question, the rep replied, "I dont know, you just have to come in a see it man." I scoffed and asked, are you serious? The rep responded casually as if we were buddies," I don't know man you'll have to come in and drive it and make and offer." I responded with you have a good day and decided I couldn't do business with people that don't understand the importance of customer relations.

After totaling my previous car and finding myself unexpectedly and urgently needing a new vehicle, I frantically searched online for something that caught my eye. I needed something reliable and built to last, without breaking the bank (especially as I had no time to save up after the accident). I found the car of my dreams through a search on Cars.com: a beautiful black Volvo XC90 with very low mileage, and it was actually within my budget! I didn't get my hopes up too high because I worried the dealer wouldn't be able to work with someone who had very little established credit (I'm still in my 20's and haven't had credit for very long), on top of wanting monthly payments as low as possible. I was shocked and absolutely ecstatic to find that the salesman was determined to find a bank with whom I could finance and get the low monthly payments I needed, and he really followed through!! I found Eastside Auto Sales to be a pleasure to work with. They got the job done, were very friendly, answered all of my questions, and made a process that could have been a real headache into a total breeze. I love my new vehicle, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
