DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE! Car broken in a few months

I purchased my used car from CODA MOTORS at the end of July (2021) and I am selling it tomorrow (November 2021) due to transmission issues. I also recently had the A/C fixed and condenser replaced, but it crapped out in August. All of this within a few months of having the car. I was also told by the salesperson that it was AWD, it wasn't until I got home and checked the VIN when I found it was 2WD. This overlook was probably on me as well, but I didn't expect to be lied to. The actual experience of buying the car was fine which is why I gave 3 stars and not 2, but make sure you do your due diligence and have the car inspected thoroughly. I lost a lot of money because the car is worth way less now due to the transmission issues.

I was warmly welcomed by Nikki, the petite administrative lady. The car dealer had a wide inventory of autos. After selecting one for a test drive, I was impressed by the quality of that car. Though the $3000 02 X5 was already sold. The Caucasian young adult salesman showed me an alternative product. I test drove and purchased a '02 X5 with over 100,000 less miles, for a reasonable market rated price of $6995. I think that the administrative office has efficient employee staff members. Nikki did a professional job in making the selling process less stressful. Actually she was kind, gentle and respectful as I went through the administrative process of purchasing this car. Make Sure You Inspect Everything!

I went to Coda Motors all the way from Southwest Michigan 12/26/2020. I went there specifically for a 2005 Ford Sport Trac. It had 65,000 miles which was awesome! I had it inspected and found that the rear leaf shackle needed to be replaced, in fact it was completely rusted out and a small hole in the muffler that was it. Okay cool, no problem. The bones are great and I have had no issues in that regard. They did drop the price with those issues which helped with the repairs. The other issues have been cosmetic issues that could have been negotiated upon the purchase of the vehicle which was not disclosed to me prior to purchasing. The issues were: 1. Passenger Rear Mirror Completely Detached. (Noticed this during car wash when I had to turn them into car.) 2. Replaced the thermostat not even 5 days later. 3. Cd player doesn't take cd's or reads them! (I know no one has CD's anymore but would've been right to share with me that it wasn't working) Wish I would've brought my own to see. This would've helped to bring the cost down for these repairs. So, in closing if you do happen to buy a vehicle from them do your due diligence in getting an official inspection and have a complete inspection on the cosmetic end such as seat adjusters, mirrors, cd players, things that you expect to work when purchasing a car. Yes these things are cosmetic but they do add up after a while. It would've been honorable to share those cosmetic issues as well. I tried to reach out to them 4 times as of 1/26/21-1/27/21 and have been given the run around such as saying "They are out at the moment, we will have them call you" or "They are not available at this moment." The managers who can bring the solution never called me back. Once you buy a vehicle they may not answer your issues or complaints. Hope this helps you, conscious consumer. -Darius

Test drove a vehicle.. Pictures were of new vehicle not vehicle... Engine was squeaking and smoking inside was tore up missing things frame bent.. Asked if they would come down on price just to see what they would say and they said there are firm on there over pricing on ju k vehicles.. Would not recommend!

Bought a SUV from this place they agreed to install two missing parts on vehicle to complete the transaction.Went a couple days after a lady named Lupe called saying it was ready to find out nothing had been done .Next day went back 2 parts were installed but fob didn’t work .Lupe sent us to a dealer get the fob and bring receipt back and I would be reimbursed. To make a long story short supposedly the check was in the mail, sent to wrong address and after calling several times never received it. Had major repairs done to vehicle and was a terrible experience. Get everything in writing if you buy from this place

I went to Coda motors looking for a used tacoma. In my personal experience car buying isn't something I look forward to but i would do it again there. I had my limits of monthly and down payments and we worked it out in the end to get where I needed to be. For the first time I left a car dealership satisfied in my purchase.

Moe worked with us with the purchase of our truck without the pushiness which usually comes with buying vehicles , it was exactly how it looked on Coda's website, the truck was clean and his customer service was excellent, I will recommend this place, great person to work with plenty of patience..

purchased a car September 2020. Be sure and do all your research on the car in person before you buy!! Even with a BMW pre-purchase inspection, still surprises on the car. The photos on the web have been photoshoped to hide blemishes. Just because a part is in the picture, it may not be there when you get the car. You will get ZERO response after the purchase, so when you leave, you bought it. Not to say they may not have good cars, and the purchase process was easy, but DO NOT purchase without a very thorough in person inspection and just trusting a dealer inspection. If you are buying sight unseen over the web you are just gambling with your money.
