I had been diligently researching vehicles came across this Outlander, researched more and decided to inquire. I contacted the dealership we got in touch via email I then went to the dealership over the weekend. At first a gentleman came out, I didn't catch his name but I told him I had been emailing with Jim. Jim came out I introduced myself as well as my partner. He seemed ok starting telling us about the car we took it for a test drive. Everything about the car was fine, a bit smaller than expected but fine. Once we got in started talking numbers I mentioned to Jim I had a pre qualification, I have excellent credit, etc. He comes back with a horrible apr rate, assumed all the extras and padded the fees. I was frustrated at this point as was my partner. I tell him he needs a better rate and asked about the astronomical fees. He is stumbling over his words can't keep the lies straight, pulls up the Car Gurus page, and tries to tell us the fees are in the ad. No they weren't! The extra $1495 plus $729 was not in there. I tell him my concerns, ask about a better apr and just certain fees i was not wiling to pay. He comes back with a slightly better apr but still not even matching with what my pre-qualification was offering much as less trying to beat it. He wanted me to write down an apr but isn't that what you keep going to the financial office for to see what apr they can get me. He hadn't done a hard pull on my credit I assumed then. Also couldn't get passed this VTR/anti theft bull they install on all cars. It's an extra $729 that is not necessary and should be optional. I wanted that off, I didn't want to pay for it. So I told him so, at that point he got annoyed and started telling me there will be fees at any dealership I go to. I told him I was aware and doc fees things of that nature I am not disputing but those other fees I was not ok with. He kept trying to go on. My partner then told him I wasn't trying to argue to fees, she's not willing to pay so thank you but no deal. I got up started walking out, Jim then proceeds to mutter under his breath and touch my partner's arm pushing him out of his office. My partner told him not to touch him, he can walk by himself. Jim then is acting childish glaring and pissy towards us. I get out the door, my partner says what are you looking at man and Jim starts spewing expletives at my partner, my partner did the same. Jim was still going on as we get into my car and are leaving. 10 min later I get back to back calls from the dealership as well as a manager Ray telling me they didn't want to lose the deal over a few hundred dollars. I messaged back, the lack of respect and unprofessionalism Jim displayed I wasn't ok with, thanks but no thanks. Ray said ok. Next day, I get alerts on my credit, come to find out they run a hard pull on my credit anyway, after I left after I told them I wouldn't be back. They still decide to pull my credit just to what, spite me? I will never recommend this dealership, although the price on the car I liked, the complete unprofessional arrogant attitude was absolutely uncalled for.

45 days ago I made a mistake and purchased a car from this place. That was 2018 Ford Mustang with only 32000 miles on it. Not old car at all. The price was $25000 - not cheap as well. 3 days after I purchased it I had to take the car to the shop, because it was unsafe to drive. The car was pulling aside, extremely strong vibrations on highway speeds, windows not closing etc. Over the 45 days the car was in my possession, it spent half the time at the shop, it is in the shop today the moment I am posting this. I spent nearly $1500 on it just to make it drivable, and it is still not done. More over. My temp. registration expires in 3 days, and it will not be lawful to drive the car anymore, but as per the MVD - the dealership has not submitted the paperwork to them yet! REALLY! It was not some 25 yer old junk car bought for $500 from some shady "under the bridge" place. Is it how you treat your customers? PEOPLE - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I will stand behind EACH of my words. All of the proofs on hands!

Ken was our salesman. He was most helpful in purchasing our Ford Explore Rating him A . Then there's Leo, the manager. He was great with his advice and helpfulness. I never had made a purchase so fast. In and out the same day even with this covid19 virus going around everything was safe from mask-wearing to sanitizing. Pleasure doing business with Chapman Value Center and staff.

Bait and Switch

They list cars that they do not have. Pretty straight forward bait and switch. I called in and was told a vehicle was still available, when I got there, I was told it was sold yesterday. That was 10 days ago and the vehicle is still on this site and if you contact them, they claim it's still available.

Chapman did not do Inspection prior to delivery

The 2019 Lincoln I purchased in mid 2020, advised as having a 150 point Inspection did not have this. This was obvious by: all four tires under inflated by 10 pounds, or more. The car was way out of Alignment and the tires needed replacement, further no oil change was done, as shown by dashboard warning. Also, an item listed as Optional I was told was mandatory. Finally, a cash sale took 16 days to secure Title.

I purchased a 2019 Lincoln that was supposed to go through a 150 Point Inspection. This to, most importantly include safety protocols. This was never done, as I soon discovered. The tires were each 10 pounds under inflated, or more. The Alignment was way off, an oil change had not been done, and the tires needed to be replaced. A couple of months later I am still attempting to get this corrected. Further, although I paid cash I had to wait 16 days for a Title, and an option that I declined ($299) appeared on my Invoice.

Chapman continues to respond with lies, and clearly refuses to respond to concrete issues. Therefore I have Filed complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Reviews with Google, Yelp and, I will bring an Action through Small Claims Court. Nobody deserves to be scammed. Buyer beware.
