FRAUD Committed- I purchased a pre-owned Infiniti Q50 from Central Houston Nissan on 9/12/2020. I was given a clean CarFax report and a clean title was given to the credit union doing the financing of which I have a copy. My local mechanic noted during an oil change that this vehicle was burning oil. He referred me to the Infiniti dealership because the engine was still under warranty. The dealership immediately informed me that my car had a branded title that had occurred on 11/7/2019 due to the prior owner neglecting to perform the regular maintenance during the lease. I called Central Houston Nissan immediately to speak to the general sales manager. After four subsequent calls in which I was either put on hold and disconnected, sent to a voicemail that was full, I left a message with the receptionist which was never returned. I then called the corporate offices for Nissan and opened a case with them which was subsequently handled by an Infiniti Regional Consumer Advocate. I was informed that I would not be issued a rental car or loaner vehicle during the investigation. I was told after 72 hours that my car actually did have a branded title. She explained that it had possibly been misplaced because the car was bought on auction from out of state and I should go to the dealership and to talk to the sales manager see if I could acquire it. She said that Nissan/Infiniti bore no responsibility in this issue and was silent when I pointed out that by giving a clean title to the financing institution fraud had been committed. She also stated that they could do nothing about the warranty because it was a branded title. I asked them to pursue a refund under the lemon law and she informed the next day that after they had reviewed the service history and my car did not fit the criteria for a refund or buy back because it had a branded title.

We have a 2011 Nissan Leaf with 28,000 miles. When we bought it, the dealer said there would be a cheap battery replacement by the time the battery ran down. Now it has about 40 unreliable miles on it, and finally it would not charge at all. Took it in to diagnose problem (S376) and they told us it would take $16,000 to fix. You couldn't sell the car for $2,000. By this time, it only had "7" miles left, but they wouldn't let us leave it there until we could get someone to pick it up for scrap value. They would charge $50 per day to do so. They would not open the back gate to allow me to cut one mile off my journey home. It was a very scary journey home and the battery went down to 5 miles and from there to ---. No more miles left. I just managed to limp into our street. The service people were unhelpful, unsympathetic, took no responsibility for their car and to top it all, the service people almost never answer the phone. I would never buy a Nissan for that reason alone. Oh and they wouldn't try charging it on the DC charger because one charger was inaccessible and the other didn't have a charging cord.
Cathy, we regret to hear that you had this experience with us. We hope you are willing to give us another chance. Please reach out to us at (713) 661-9955 so we can work towards a resolution.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Do not believe any "Final Price" you may see on their website for a pre-owned vehicle. Of course we all expect to pay taxes, title, license, and document fees in addition to the "Final Price" listed on the internet, and that is disclosed on the website. However, what they do NOT disclose is that they will tack on a $3995 "Central Houston Prep Package fee" on top of the "Final Price" and then add your tax, title, license, and document fees. Absolute waste of time visiting this dealership as they play their stupid sales games of talking to the manager who then has to talk to his manager who then has to talk to his manager. Cris Ferante, one of the managers we spoke with during this charade of game playing, was condescending, deceitful, and unprofessional. He even had the audacity to tell us that some dealers in the area charge a $7,000 dealer prep fee when we balked at his $3995 fee. Excuse me, but who goes into a dealership expecting to pay a certain amount for a vehicle based on the internet price and then happily accepts that the price of the vehicle is now $3995 more than anticipated for some ridiculous dealer prep fee? While they were playing their "I have to talk to my manager" games, we called two other dealerships who had similar vehicles for similar prices who did NOT charge an absurd upcharge of $3995 to their internet pricing. Do yourself a favor and do NOT waste your time with this dealership and their unethical, unprofessional sales tactics. Go elsewhere where you will not be scammed. In all my years of buying pre-owned vehicles I have never dealt with this level of unprofessionalism and lack of integrity.

Thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Central Houston Nissan!
I made an appointment to test a SUV at 4:15 pm. I asked if car was ready and they confirmed. When I arrived, they say that they can’t find the keys. They showed me other cars while they find them. Then, they say the car will not be ready for 2 more days.. They made me get out of work and waste my time until 6 pm. The car is not showing in cars.com anymore, so I guess it never existed. Don’t waste your time.

I should have known better after reading other reviews - these guys are basic scammers. They pulled a classic bait & switch, just as so many others posted. I confirmed several times that the vehicle was available, expressed my concerns about other reviews I’d read about these sales tactics, and was reassured that the vehicle was there, in stock, and available. Of course we arrive (myself, my daughter who was super eager for her first car-buying birthday experience, and my husband who took off work), and the car isn’t available - “it must have just come under contract - can we show you other similar cars?” In the last hour. Right. Waste of time, but I guess it was a blessing in disguise - definitely don’t want to do business with a group like this.

Unethical horrible sales in used cares
Horrible sales staff. We tried to buy a vehicle, they refused to honor the sales price they were advertising. Tried to add $5,000 of 'packages' to a $21,000 Nissan Fronteir. They LIED about the tax rate on used cars in Harris county. We ended up buying a better truck for cheaper, closer to home with an ethical dealer. Thank you for the life lessons to my son. He walked out after the dealer was obviously wasting his time.
Shark, we're disappointed to hear of the negative experience you had at our location. We would like to work towards a resolution, so if you are willing, please reach out to us at (713) 661-9955 to discuss this further.
Used car EW DON'T GO.
Used car department... The managers are so b deceptive and have ZERO respect for customers time and safety. CHRIS IS LAZY and CARLOS Reyes...stop hiding and do your job. Literally, everytime I was at the used car dealership (4x's) ALL 4 TIMES, an employee had a cigar in his mouth in plain view of the customer. I feel so bad for the salesmen here because they get dragged into bad business practices. Go straight to new vehicles and please go see Rigoberto and Miss Tiffany in finance.
