As a recent college graduate I was very overwhelmed with the entire car buying process, but the guys at Bernard Motorcar Company really made the entire experience a breeze!! I had been searching for a car for months but really couldn't find a reliable car that was in my price range with good miles. When I came across this dealership I was immediately pulled in by the competitive prices and you can't beat the promise of no doc fees (which they stick to). I KNEW I struck gold! You really get the sense of a family owned business that is more concerned with helping individuals than solely turning profits when working with this dealership. I was able to find a reliable 2009 Camry for thousands less than what other dealerships would have priced it at. I would strongly recommend anyone looking for a phenomenal car buying experience to check these guys out in Indian Land! And for Brian and Bob: Thanks sooooo much, I am still as in love with my car today as I was when I drove off the lot, he (the car) has a name now too: Blue Jay!

2008 Kia rio

I purchased a 2008 Kia rio. Ben was great, he communicated well with my bank and the process was smooth. Ben even let me take the car ahead of time I just had to have my full coverage. I did have speculations about the car fax but he insured me the car was great by offering me a protection plan for repairs with a 100 deductible. There is a strange ticking noise under the hood but I'm hoping it's just minor. The tire pressure light was on and Ben told me it was probably the air in the tires and he was exactly right I got the some air into my tires and the light went off. I would recommend this dealer to my family and friends. Ben saved me! Thanks

I just bought a 2010 Kia Forte EX from Bob and Brian. I am extremely pleased for the price I paid. Although there are a couple things wrong with the car that they didn't tell me, I am beyond happy. They personally called Founders FCU several times to insure the process was going as smooth as it can for me, and let me leave my old car at their facility for a few days until I can pick it up. I am do relieved I finally found a reliable car, and my bank is beyond happy with them and the car. Thanks Bob!!

Highline Acura at a great price!!!

I bought a pearl white dream Acura from Brian and Bob for a fraction of what Hendrick wanted for it. I even left my lights on a few weeks later and they came to my house and charged the battery!!!! Great people and very clean independent used car lot. I loved that they didn't charge a bunch of extra smoke and mirror fees like some of the others.

Bought a used 2004 Mountaineer from Brian and Bob. My wife loves the DVD player for the grandkids. Brian even gave me the picture I wanted off of the wall!!! The also helped me get my financing with Founders Federal Credit Union

THE CAR WAS PURCHASED ON 4-11-2013,IT WAS A 2006 PONTIAC SOLTICE. I WAS TOLD THE CAR WAS ROAD WORTHY BECAUSE I PD A LOT OF MONEY FOR WHAT I GOT. THE CAR WAS TORN UP BEFORE I GOT HOME, THE SAME DAY I CALLED HIM BACK AND ASK FOR MY MONEY BACK, HE SAID NO WE DONT GIVE MONEY BACK. AT THE VERY LEAST HE COULD CALL AND PAY HALF OF THE REPAIR BILL. THE CAR IS STIL IN THE REPAIR SHOPDID I GET THAT CALL NO.VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THIS CO.

Thank you for your honest review. We are sorry you are dissatisfied. Typically we will always work with a customer on a vehicle purchase. However, on this particular vehicle, we were originally asking for far more money than your final purchase. After weeks of negotiations, including hours of phone calls, in which we carefully advised you to not purchase a sight - unseen salvage vehicle you were trying to purchase in Brooklyn NY, because it was priced comparably, and you were also using your unfortunate wife's illness as a negotiating ploy, we agreed to sell the vehicle at a loss to the company. You advised us that that was the only money you had to spend, period, even though the vehicle you offered to trade even money for ours, you told us had later sold for even more money on eBay. We had the vehicle inspected and serviced in our shop and was deemed to be road worthy. Because of the selling price being reduced too far below wholesale price, we advised you to have the vehicle checked, and at very least, take a test drive. You refused both. You signed an AS-IS disclaimer for a clearance vehicle at a clearance price, which still is Carfax certified with a clean title and has a retail value of thousands more than you paid. I am sorry you feel we do not take care of customers or our cars, but every transaction stands on its on merit, and the vehicle was ONLY sold at that extremely aggressive blowout price because you knew there was to be no warranties or any more money to be invested into that particular transaction. We also charged you absolutely no extra fees, including the standard documentary fee that most dealers charge. In fact we never charge those fees, ever. In closing, I sincerely tried to help you and your wife get into a vehicle that was truly "above" your budget, mostly because you begged us to, countless times over the phone, further insisting you needed help with your finances to help with an impeding surgery your wife needed, as to which I suggested that a purchase might be premature considering the situation. Bob, and I both counseled you on making a better purchase than some of the other ones you were considering, including the SALVAGE titled one you were deeply considering over 600 miles away. I feel, in this transaction you got exactly what you wanted, but when it came to light that our below wholesale priced 7 year old vehicle with 90,000 was not perfect, and you realized you had to invest little bit of money in it, as we advised you would, you became upset at us. I am sorry we allowed you to purchase our vehicle for such a good price, because we set you up for expectations that were probably too unrealistic. A too good to be true price, with a perfect Carfax, with no doc fees, 7 years old and 90,000 miles, and NEEDING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING SPENT ON IT. We have many, many satisfied customers including cars.com and other sources, and I'm sorry you couldn't be one of them. Sincerely, Brian D Bernard Owner

Very honest and helpful

I brought a car from Bob last month and it was a surprisingly pleasant process. He was very upfront and honest about everything. I'm a pre-law/political science student so I was expecting 'double talk', code words, and subtle psychological persuasion tactics like we practice but they don't play those whatsoever. It's obvious they do their research as well, I could not find a comparable car for a cheaper price in 500 miles and even then they worked with me on the price. It was my first experience with a dealership and I would hope that every encounter would go so smoothly, I would recommend them to my family and friends. Just make sure to adjust the mirrors on your new vehicle before leaving that lot! MLB guys are tall!
