We viewed a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 on the AutoNation San
We viewed a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 on the AutoNation San Antonio website, and went to go see it on Wednesday night, 2 March 2022. Upon arrival, we were told that the vehicle had been transferred to Austin, was no longer on their inventory, and we should have called first to verify. We were told that the vehicle would be brought back to San Antonio the next morning (Thursday) and could be delivered directly to our home by the afternoon. We completed the paperwork, and they ran a hard pull on my wife's credit and came back with a score of "0" as if she had no credit history. My wife has over 15 active credit cards, all in good standing, and a score of "zero" didn't make sense, but we agreed to an APR of 24% and moved forward with a deposit of $2500. By 3pm, I had not heard from anyone about the delivery, and I called. I was told the windshield had a crack and they had to wait for the glass guy the following morning, the vehicle would be delivered soon after. Friday came with no delivery, no alert, no contact. I called. They then told me that the oil pan had a crack, and it was throwing an error code, so it had to be replaced. We then decided that the truck was not for us since we had not seen it, driven it or been updated on status at all. We contacted our salesperson and Finance Director, and told them we no longer wanted the phantom truck, and wanted a full and immediate refund. Here is a copy of the Sales Guarantee: ************************************************************************* "Money-Back Guarantee Our 1Price Pre-Owned Vehicles are backed by a 5-day, 250-mile Money-Back Guarantee. 1If you decide to return your vehicle, we’ll refund your money. No questions asked." *********************************************************************************************** We were told it would take 24 to 48 hours for the refund to be credited. This occurred on Friday evening, 4 March 2022. As of today, 17 March 2022, we have neither heard from AutoNation, nor received any refund. They have been unprofessional and rude on the phone when we asked for an updated status. We have filed a fraud dispute with our bank.
