Worst experience buying a car

Strongly recommend you not to buy anything from this place. Hidden fees, and worst customer service ever. They add ghost fees to your purchase. They have a protection appearance fees they impose on customers, although the contact says clearly that it is not mandatory. $400 covid fees. If you don't to waste your money, Please do not even attempt to get buy a car there.

Bully tactics with exorbitant fees

Borderline scams. Prices look so attractive because they make all their money on fees and lie about them too. $400 COVID cleaning fee mandated by the state? Literally no other dealership heard of that kind of fee. Also, test drive a car and not buy will will result in bully tactics where 'managers' will get in your face asking why you are wasting their people's time if not buying the stand in the way like they don't intend to let you leave. Better to avoid at all costs. Worst dealership experience I've ever had.

Found a truck online at their dealership, applied with credit check, approved no problem. Today is Tuesday, told them I would not be able to look or drive the truck until Saturday, work for a living. I asked them to hold and I would pay a hold fee. They wanted a thousand dollars to hold a truck I may or may not buy. I know from experience in the past that a dealership will take 2 weeks or longer to return a deposit if you do not buy. I told them I would give them a credit card 100 deposit that was it. Not good enough for them. I told them no thanks, I would buy somewhere else. Not a friendly staff or salesman to be exact. I would not recommend this dealership to any friends or family. Thank you.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. THEY SELL YOU WORTHLESS INSURANCE POLICY'S FROM KNOCK OFF INSURANCE COMPANYS THAT DO NOT COVER ANYTHING. I HAVE HAD MY CAR SINCE 8/9/2021 AND THANKS TO JACKSON FORD MY CAR IS FINALLY FIXED. THE INSURANCE DID NOT COVER ANYTHING. NO ONE COULD UNDERSTAND HOW THINGS THAT SHOULD HAD BEEN COVERED UNDER POWER TRAIN WAS NOT. THANKS GOODNESS I WAS ABLE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. ALSO WAS GIVEN A PAINT PROTECTION PLAN (RESISTALL PROTECT SILVER) THAT ALSO DOES NOT COVER ANYTHING BUT THINGS YOUR REGULAR INSURANCE COMPANY WOULD. READ READ READ EVERYTHING. THEY WILL EXPLAIN TO YOU ABOUT WHAT THE INSURANCE IS COVERING BUT IN REALITY IT IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT. AND DON'T EXPECT TO HEAR FROM AUTO MALL OF SPRINGFIELD. I CALLED THEM OVER AND OVER AGAIN LEFT MESSAGES AND NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. I LOVE MY CAR AND HAD TO REALLY PUT MONEY INTO IT TO MAKE IT RIGHT. BUT IF I DEPENDED ON INSURANCE MY CAR WOULD HAVE BEEN SITTING IN BACKYARD NOT WORKING.

Never again. I took the car in for a thorough inspection with my mechanic days after the sale and it has almost $5000 in repairs needed right away. There was no sticker or buyer guide on the vehicle, he took the down payment on my card after we agreed on the price and monthly payment, then said he forgot to add gap insurance which we told him we needed before he ran the numbers, making the payment increase by $35 a month, had to drive without plates to the other dealership to sign paperwork, the key he gave us didn’t work when the mechanic tried to look up the programming for any errors, and they were completely rude and condescending when I called to ask questions about my issues after the sale.

I asked Ray to FaceTime with me to show me the truck because I am 4 hours away. Keep In mind the truck is 22 years old with 200k miles. I thought this was a reasonable request. He said he would not do that. He said he didn't have time. He then told Me Someone else would buy it. I was shocked at his unprofessional tone and disrespectful nature.

Avoid this dealership. Poor at communicating, cars are not as described, typical turn and burn sleazy used car sales. Sent a beat up car to the airport to pick up my wife and two kids and it was full and the driver had to move junk to get us in. This AFTER I clearly told them who was coming. Plus driver was late. I don't even want to talk about the suburban we bought. So much little crap wrong with it and now the trans is out. Easily the worst used car experience I've had.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! 1 star is far too many stars for this dealership. Especially do not buy from Jay, he sold us an absolute lemon and was so difficult to deal with throughout this whole process. My husband went in to buy a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta. He looked it over to the best of his ability and decided to buy the car. On his way to work literally the next day the car overheats, okay that’s not good, he calls Jay, Jay says this never happens bring it in and they’ll fix it. So my husband brings it in for them. A day or two later they call saying the car is fixed. Great! When he gets there Jay tells my husband that we are so lucky that he is taking good care of us (even though we have a 15 day warranty so he really didn’t have an option) We go to pick it up, the heat is still not working and there seems to be an oil leak. so we have driven a bad car off the lot twice now. So we decide to go take it to our mechanic and have him run a full diagnostic. Turns out it needs a new heating core, has a MAJOR oil leak and probably a blown head gasket. So we bring it back to the shop and show them the paperwork from the diagnostic from our mechanic. Jay reluctantly says they will look at the car but does not give us much hope that they’re going to do anything. So our car is in the shop for about a week, we pick it up today and wouldn’t you know it, it’s still majorly leaking oil. There is even a signal on the dashboard saying oil inspection. So they knowingly let us drive off with a bad car for the THIRD TIME! We’ve already spoken to the illinois attorney general about our options and we will be taking action. Just please do not buy from here!

Bunch of up front and honest sales staff you may not like some of the truths, but it’s better then dragging stuff out. Good prices and inventory selection. These guys know what they are doing. You have to have realistic expectations when buying used. Overall very fair and patient, will definitely buy from again
