Promised detailing

My son purchased a car. No quibble on price, we felt it was fair. Only thing he asked for was detailing as the car had a substance on the dials. Left the car with the dealership on a Friday night to pick up late Saturday. Not detailed........ Took it back when asked the following Friday.... Left it all day long. Went to pick it up.... The only thing that looked like it was done was a quick spray of fabrese. Nothing was cleaned, not even outside. Not happy that this was the first experience of buying a car. Taking it to the car wash tomorrow.

Overall, I had a good experience with Auto Expo. I scheduled a test drive the day prior, and they had the car waiting out front for me when I got there. After the test drive, I was allowed to make a thorough inspection of the car and Abraham answered all of my questions and critiques on the car. I pointed out some issues with the car--for example, the trunk cargo mat was gone--and they proceeded to fix the issues where possible. The lot and the office are both small and cramped. Parking and moving around felt a bit awkward, and there was clutter that needs to go. In the end though, that's not a big deal though, as I care most about the car and the price I'm paying for it. Speaking of price, negotiations with Auto Expo were the most cordial of the places I visited that day, which was appreciated given how all negotiations are at least a little bit awkward. Again, I had a positive experience.

Right now the purchasing process is great, paper was ready to be signed, the car was delivered very with no issues. Gino the salesman was very coutious and understanding. Still waiting to gety tags which is not due until later in the month.

Get paperwork and be skeptical before purchasing

Purchased a used Honda from Auto Expo. The car had a recent VA safety inspection sticker and the salesman said the emissions test and all servicing were also recently done. However, they had no paperwork documenting any of this. When registering the car at the DMV, there was no record of any emissions test. The dealer hasn't responded to an inquiry concerning this. Also, when I brought the car to my regular mechanic to check out, there were a headlight and a tail light out, so the car could not have successfully passed inspection. Luckily, the car is in good shape mechanically with no major issues. In sum, request paperwork documenting any repairs, service work, or inspections that have been done before purchasing from this dealer.

Bought a very reasonably price truck. Vehicle was clean and well represented in the photos. Small lot with lots of vehicles. Difficult getting in and out of lot, but that's life in the big city. Sales office was old, but was clean as was the restroom. Salesman was very nice and gave me the best deal he could. I would go there again.

I bought a 2003 Chevy Tahoe and the salesperson, Abdul, was very helpful and professional, he knows what he is talking about. I ended up buying the vehicle and I have already referred two of my friends there. They are very trust worthy and honest. I will buy here again.

When taking a vehicle out for a test drive and to my mechanics, I noticed quite a few scratches on the vehicle all the way around, including on the top of the hood and the top of the trunk. It looked like the car had been keyed and touched up very poorly. When I mentioned this to the salesman, he brushed it off like it was minor cosmetic damage. This is after all a used car, right? But the problem is the car will start to rust in a year or two if the "cosmetic" damage is not properly repaired. The "owner" (if the salesman actually contacted him) would not budge on the price. I didn't expect to "steal" the car, but would have preferred a little honesty and some negotiation on the price. I went to another place and easily negotiated a fair price for a used car. Would never consider looking on this lot again and would definitely not recommend to anyone.

After much research, I felt that the 2001 v70 Volvo on their lot was a good price. Abdulla met me at Dulles airport since I was out of state. I test drove the car for quite a while and decided that I would buy the car if we could come to an agreement on an extended warranty I know that a new timing belt will be needed and some other issues but considering the price and low mileage I was satisfied. I drove it back home -5.5 hr drive- into the mountains of WV. It handled the long steep grades like a champ! .
