Do not put a deposit down unless you 100% are sure you are buying the car, you will never see that money again, they will not for any reason give you back the money. Do not put a deposit down if they tell you that you need to before having your own shop check the car. Do not buy a car from them unless you are allowed to have your own shop look at it before you sign anything at all. Every single car they get comes from auctions untested and sit on their lots as they got them until someone puts a deposit down and then they "fix" whatever is wrong using the cheapest low quality parts they can get their hands on. I have heard horror stories from different shops that have gotten ABW cars in for repairs with blown engines inside of 30 days of the customer purchasing the car, one was a BMW. They provide in house financing with Capital One, one of the highest interest ratings in the industry, you will pay a LOT more than the car is worth. If you read the 1,000's of bad reviews about them and still choose to buy from them you deserve whatever happens.

I went to this dealership looking for a car under 7k I know that is a low price range but I figured I could still find something especially because it was not going to be my everyday car. The salesman almost seemed annoyed. I looked at a volkswagen and when I turned the car on every single light on the dashboard was on and the car had a flat so it couldn't be test driven. The pictures online are very misleading. The salesman was interrogated us about why we wouldn't by the car and also about why we can so far to look at the car (we live 30 mins away). I will never ever come back to this dealership. Stay away!!

Salesman was rude and sarcastic. Was very vague when I asked about which cars were available. Cars are crap. Was not accommodating. I left very angry. Will never go back there.

I went there to get a used car and put a deposit down on one BEFORE I read the reviews on them. They have a mandatory VIN etching fee, non negotiable $198 and a conveyance fee $598. You have to put a NON REFUNDABLE $1,000 deposit down on the car. Needless to say I learned a $1,000 lesson on how not to purchase a used vehicle. The one I settled on had 3 owners before it went to auction and 2 of the owners only had the car a month or two so there has to be something wrong with it. The car ended up at an auction where ABW picked it up. I was told the last owners were dealers that is why it went through 3 owners, the carfax shows all 3 owners had the car titled and registered as personal and were issued plates. The ONLY acceptable response from them at this time would be them offering to give me back my deposit, not to pick out another one of their cars. They claim to go through the cars and fix anything wrong with them yet there are literally 1,000's of reviews claiming the opposite. Many reviews are from people with cars that no longer run shortly after purchasing them AS IS.

Just called and the person in sales flat out refused to give back the deposit. ABW leaves generic public and private responses here to make it look like they want to work with you. I will be leaving reviews on every public forum I can to warn people about their unfair practices, poor condition auction cars and inexperienced service department.

Yeah, pretty sketchy when I took my son out to find a reasonably priced used car this past summer. Our salesman brought down the first car we wanted to look at, but warned us that it "looked pretty bad." Well, we didn't even get in it! It was filthy. Actually the worst I've ever seen. Every square inch of the interior was black instead of gray and the car had obviously been BEAT. My guess is they frequent auctions where there are lots of questionable vehicles from NYC. The salesman seemed reluctant for us to look at any more (I think he didn't want to help his employer rip us off - I made it very clear that my son was spending all of his own money to purchase his car). We ended up at West End Automotive in Waterbury - we couldn't have been happier with our service & outcome there!

Sell lemons. The cars that do work, they are not actually capable of servicing and their extended warranty is not real. I’m pretty sure they don’t even have a legitimate service department. So dishonest. You might get lucky with a car which is where some positive reviews come from but they do nothing to ensure the car you drive off the lot is safe or will last. Pay the extra money and finance with a legitimate dealership. I promise you it’s worth it.

Bought a Lexus ES350, the car is horrible, kept dying and not starting, had a lot more other issues. They tell you you can’t take the car for a long test drive and you have to be close so you don’t have a chance to fully test the car or take it to a mechanic. Don’t buy from there.

They didn't want to sell me a car. Truly! I know it sounds ridiculous, but I was looking for a Volkswagen Tiguan, which is not a popular car. I decided to make the 1.5 hour trip because they had 5 of these in stock. I was told they "just got in a new one today". I was game to check it out. After all, the best cars go quickly, right? So this would be my chance to beat all other buyers. After waiting about 20 minutes or so, the car was out front and ready for a test drive. The car drove nice. The issues were cosmetic: The rear bumper flange was missing, one of the front bumpers was half off, the other was scuffed, the drivers door handle was missing a piece, and there was rust and chipped paint running above the windshield. They said they could take care of most of it, but it would cost around $700.00. At this price, the car wasn't worth it to me. So I asked about the car that I came to see. I was told that "the car I drove was better," from the rookie salesman. So they didn't let me drive the car I came to see!!! An hour and a half. Pouring rain. Naturally, I should have been more attentive to THEIR needs, and asked THEM what car would be best for me to buy, right? I asked for his card. He told ME that if I left, I wouldn't be buying that car. I asked how long he would be there, and he said: "To tell you the truth, I am looking to leave soon". Glad he decided to tell me the ONE truth he could part with. That was helpful. Truly bizarre. I had hoped to see a car, but wasn't allowed to. I had hoped to purchase, but my needs didn't meet theirs. To any customer entering that building, please be VERY service-oriented. Ask the salesperson what you can do FOR THEM. Be sure to ask them if you are inconveniencing them IN ANY WAY. You are chum, and are treated as such. Do not go to this place looking to purchase a car for yourself, while finding something to meet YOUR needs. That mindset is for completely self-centered people, and if you want to fulfill THAT need, really... go elsewhere. Truly bizarre. They wouldn't show me the car I came to see.

False advertisements and Racist

Biggest scammers car Pic are edited before advertising and before they do anything they tell u there commission is upwards of $800 dollars and are mostly trying to close the deal without showing the cars and the cars are in horrible condition if ur Caucasian or African American they love you but if your Latino or Asian they are extremely rude and bags STAY AWAY AT ALL COST
