Great service. Mark actually managed to get me an extra 70 off a month. What a deal. 20 percent off my original monthly rate. I'd definitely do business here again. I look forward to driving the 2004 Hyundai Tiburon. Snazzy car.

Hey Jay I greatly apologize but the vehicle you were coming to look at was listed for $1000 for the public auction we run here at 518 auto sales once a week. Those vehicles are local trade-ins being sold as is rejected. It was in the listing the issues that vehicle had with it. Again I greatly apologize and can speak about it more with you. You can reach me at 757-724-2143 thank you

so I purchased a vehicle from.this company son and father dealership the father sells me the vehicle and it needs breaks he adds the cost of the breaks into the price which to me was wrong you're selling a vehicle that's not going to pass inspection I'm from MD so I said I need breaks purchased the truck on a Saturday so he said I had to wait until the weekday I said just refund me the cost of the breaks he agreed wrote it all down and conveniently did not include that paper in my paperwork and then had their admin call me to tell me they are putting a stop order on my check its only a couple of hundred dollars but that's not honest or fair or not how you do business if you did that over a couple of hundred dollars what else would you do and if I wasn't in the state of Virginia I wouldn't deal with this dealership because guess what my vehicle failed inspections for what???? the breaks I just have a hard time with dishonest people and mark and Mike are definitely not honest and straightforward

Hey my name is Mike Dalton and I am one of the owners at 518 Auto Sales. I greatly apologize about your experience but the vehicle did pass VA State inspection. The breaks were something that when you got to maryland for there emissions testing, at that point is when they said the breaks didn't pass and you wanted reimbursement for that. We were unwilling to do so being that it did pass VA state inspection. Unfortunately different states have different standards for passing a vehicle for there inspection. I would like to speak with you as well though as I don't want you to be upset, you can call me at 757-724-2143 thanks have a great day

You want to speak to me now I've called your establishment several.times and where are my tags I paid for? ME and my son are riding around on expired tags since May. If the credit union would have financed this vehicle you would have been held to a better standard and the loan would not have gone through you made the price of the vehicle over by 300 the cost of the car which is over the NDAA the credit union even indicated I would be due a refund so please don't make it seem as if you did what was just and fair and all this for 300 dollars I told.Mike before I left the lot based on my experience as my dad's handy person while he's a certified mechanic that the breaks were not.good you all said they were I asked for you to change them Mike said at my cost I'm okay with that but when he put it in the paperwork and then I change my mind because its a weekend I would have had to wait until the next week,, Mike says okay we will refund you that cost wrote all of the refund up on the paperwork and now he has amnesia and lost my file. Its 4 months later he has lost my file and I'm out of 300 dollars plus I came home and paid another 300 for the same breaks I told him would not pass and you want to talk to me? Exactly what is there to talk about? You can find my file Mark lost and call me when you have my 300 refund and my tags. I see we gonna have to take legal action. You took the time to respond to this complaint but have yet to reach out to me and you want people who review this to believe you are remorseful however your company is not I purchased in May it is August who takes that long to deliver tags??? Please believe they were nice until they got their money then it was who are you and that's no way to do.business

Worst car buying experience I've had

Be aware of fraud at this dealership and/or its partner auto shops: This is a bit long winded, but if you want to be informed about a real situation that occurred with this dealership, then please read. First of all, it takes a good reason for me to write a review on a business, especially a bad one. I purchased a vehicle from this dealership just over a month ago. First experience was not exactly pleasant. I had an appointment, yet the salesman took forever to get to me and the vehicle I was going to test drive had a dead battery. I had to wait until it was charged, then it died again. Needless to say, they were very unprepared for my appointment. Secondly, the engine light was on when I test drove it. They read the code, said it had one for the dead battery (voltage) and one for a cylinder misfire. They wrote it up, agreed to replace battery and spark plugs the next day and I could pick it up after it was completed. I picked it up the next day as planned, they failed to provide paperwork which I asked for. Before I got home, engine light appeared again. I called, they said to bring it back. I brought it back, they said they would take it to get the coil packs replaced, and a full tune up. The vehicle was completed and I picked it up again (this time with a receipt of the work completed). This time, I did not even make it out of the parking lot, engine light came on again. I drove back in, salesman said the service manager had already left, but it should be fine to drive over the weekend and that he would call me back Monday. Monday came and went, no call. I called and spoke to the service manager, where he informed me that not all the spark plugs and coil packs were actually done. I told him that I was told differently, and the receipt said otherwise. Things started to get frustrating and fishy to say the least at this point. I took the vehicle back, for the third time. They had the vehicle for 3 days. I picked it up, engine light was not on. I thanked them and went on my way. The next morning I went out of town (about a 4 hour drive). I noticed that my cruise control light was not working/illuminating. Once I got to my destination, my dad was looking it over, and realized that the engine light was not illuminating when starting it, which all vehicles do. We looked up how to conduct a cluster light test for the lights on the dashboard. I conducted the test in the dark in my garage. When I did, I could see a slight glow, but not a light from the engine light area. I leaned forward and looked down, where I could clearly see the engine light and cruise control light were illuminated behind a black piece of tape. The engine light was still on!!!! They took the glass out and covered the lights with a black piece of tape!! I got a hold of the owner that night, told him my piece of mind. He agreed to allow me to take it to a Jeep dealership to get diagnostics done. Turns out, the whole issue was a recall. There were other things that was not covered under the recall that was contributing to the engine light. Needless to say, after much deliberating, arguing, the owner ended up paying a $1750 bill from Jeep. I never got an answer on who put the tape on, but I can tell you that the dealership new about it. This is absolutely fraud, in which I could've taken them to court. I decided not to, as the owner agreed to pay the bill, however, I do think its important to inform others of what a huge legal issue and fraudulent place this is.
