NEVER GET A FOCUS
Do NOT buy this car. I’ve had my car for 4 years, and have had to take my car to get fixed so many times I’ve lost count. My transmission gave me problems weeks after I bought it and I got the clutch repaired. After that, my radio went out and it made a horrible screeching noise that scared the crap out of me and made me jolt my car when I drove which became a huge safety issue. My transmission went out completely on a road trip, and I was hundreds of miles away from home, so that was extremely frustrating and time consuming to get fixed. To make matters worse, not even a year later my transmission went out again. I got it “repaired” again for it to break again TWO days later. I got it towed back to the repair shop, and it turns out my vehicle was in need of a TCM (Transmission Control Module) part. What Ford doesn’t tell you is that part is on a nationwide back order, and tens of thousands of people are waiting on that part and are without a car. Some have been waiting nearly a year for that part. Personally, I’ve been waiting about 3 months with no end in sight, and I’m in the process of selling my car back to Ford and getting something else. On top of all of this, Ford has terrible customer service and I have been extremely stressed and have not received any help, loaner vehicles, etc. and their lack of communication is appalling.
It's been a highly unlikely to drive more crappy
It been in shop more than I can drive it made me to never buy a Ford again. I use think first onrace now from on road dead . Again you have done nothing for me I am disabled and afraid to drive it byself.
Would recommend
Was lucky enough to buy a used one with a religious service record and the DCT issues repaired and it's fantastic. Great gas mileage, roomy up front, nice features, stellar looking exterior, handles like a dream and sticks to the road. Did have the common EVAP purge issue a week after having it, but that was a cheap fix.
