Like driving the most reliable coach down the road
The Bench Seat in the front is a blast from the past and just as comfortable as the big back seat. The trunk is HUGE and all four of the Firestone tires are new. The engine is the best V6 Gen. Motors ever made and the gas mileage is great. 18/20 Hwy. The heat and AC always worked great and never had a problem with the transmission. They do not make these kinds of cars anymore. It is like owning a piece of pristine history.
Car defines "Practical Vehicle" no disappointment
One of the best cars I've ever owned in terms of value. It never once failed to start. Repairs and maintenance are low cost. Appearance is reasonable. Power and handling are adequate. It's comfortable and roomy and has ample trunk space. The only actual repairs the car ever needed were the driver's power window, one wiper arm, and the harmonic balancer. Each of these repairs were easy to do and replacement parts were not expensive at all. I also did many maintenance type tasks,(brakes, belts, spark plugs and wires, wiper blades, headlight, tires, battery, oil filter), and replacement parts were always economical and readily available. I had the windshield replaced the day after I bought it and that was cheap. This is no race car but it certainly doesn't lack power. I can't claim that it's fun to drive but it is very easy to drive and it's got enough power and handling capability to take the stress out of driving. It's not a "cool" car but it's very inconspicuous. I bought it from a private party about 4 years ago for a great price. It's been a very reliable daily driver for me and basic liability insurance was delightfully low cost. For a 2-wheel drive vehicle, it does pretty good in winter weather. I've driven it in 10-12" of snow several times without any major problems. My circumstances require me to drive a truck now so I've decided to sell my Buick to an old friend for $100 less than I paid for it 4 years ago. (I could easily get twice what he's paying for it. Yes, I got an incredible deal when I bought it!) It's nice to be able to sell it to a friend with confidence that it will serve him well. It doesn't leak any fluids, will pass the emissions test with ease, and the check engine light is not going to illuminate the day after he buys it. I've reluctantly sold cars to friends in the past and ended up fielding technical support calls until they got something else. No worries with this one.
Car is a TANK
This car is like a big couch with wheels, get through snow with 0 problem also a humongous row of back seats & trunk. 20 years old but I still use mine daily Crashed mine when I first got my liscence and totaled a ford ranger but I only lost a headlight and front bumper & 0. injuries. If you find one for a good deal, just get it.
